Kanael lost his bond with his mate Kraken when the evil had tried to take over and forced so many to do horrible acts. The two never saw it coming and the terrible deeds that were done triggered the loss of the mate bond between the two. After so many years Kanael has come to his senses and stopped morning and has decided to take back what he lost even if it means his death. He longs for the love and happiness that he had with Kraken and nothing will stop him from regaining it. So much has changed and life has moved on but his love for Kraken has never diminished. The evil they thought banished managed to find a way to seek revenge. Can Kanael find his mate and free him before it is too late for everyone?

This is an interesting take on the way the paranormal community came to be. Kanael is a strong man that finally realizes that he must find a way to fix what went wrong or die trying. He is a good man and wants to keep everyone safe. It was interesting to see the characters interact in this story. In this world every paranormal seems to work together and fight to keep the evil at bay. I enjoyed the banter between the characters and the love that shines through between Kraken and Kanael.  The first half of this adventure moves slowly but picks up the pace in the second part. It was nice to see how strong the bond to a mate is and just what happens if it is severed in any way. Not only do you get Kanael and Kraken’s story but we also hear from many interesting characters in this world. Who knows what the future will hold for this world and its inhabitants.

After years of being denied is mate Dale has finally gotten his wish, but at what cost?  Caden knows he has a lot of fixing to do with his mate if only Dale would let him. So much has happened and Caden realizes he has caused much of the pain Dale has gone through. Along with their relationship problems the two must also deal with the men that are not happy with two men being mates.  Add in the evil that is threatening to return and chaos begins. Caden has regained some of his memories and must keep some things secret from everyone else. Dale, his brother and their friends still search for those missing and for a way to defeat the evil. Is their love strong enough to handle all of the strains put on them? Will Dale and Caden be able to get past everything and find a way to a happy after ever?

I enjoyed this story and am interested in what will come next for these characters in the future. I fell in love with many of the characters.  Caden has done Dale wrong in the past but he is a good man and is trying to do right by his mate now. Dale is stronger than he thought he was and watching him grow stronger made for a nice read. Not only do we get to see these two find their way but we also get to see the interaction between everyone. I loved Kale and Aeri and the two make a great couple. It was nice to see the camaraderie and love between everyone. There were some misplaced and misspelled words but it does not distract too much from the enjoyment of the story.
