Clematis has always hidden his true self for so long now that he does not know what to do when everything comes crashing down on him. He has watched Flor from a distance all this time and when the two begin to form a friendship Clematis begins to feel his emotions again and no matter how hard he tries to fight it his emotions are spiraling out of control. Will the two find a way to a common ground or is it already too late for Flor and Clematis? Can they figure out just what their relationship is and look towards a future?

I enjoyed this newest story in the Beings in Love series. Flor and Clematis have each played a big part in this series as supporting characters and it was nice to see them get their own story. This book shows a whole other side of Clematis that explains just why he is the way he is. We also see Flor in a different light as he and Clematis begin a new kind of relationship. Seeing the two find their way was a beautiful read. Their story is full of emotions and revelations that turn their world upside down. I loved seeing their true personalities start to shine through as the story goes on. It was nice to see some characters from previous stories included in this book. They are part of Clematis and Flor’s world and continue to play a part in this series. I loved seeing the friendships and camaraderie between everyone. The love is evident in the way they all interact with one another and the care that is taken when Clematis needs it. The author continues to keep this series fresh and entertaining with each new story. I truly enjoyed Clematis and Flor’s story and am excited to see what will come next in their world.

After dealing with all the pain in high school Joe just wants out. Out of this small town and its small ideas yet something pulls him back home. He does not understand why he finds himself back home in the small town and dealing with the small minds once again. Working in the local coffee shop Joe keeps his head down and lives his life but soon someone notices Joe and there is no way to ignore him. Zarrin may be small and shy for a dragon but he is ready and willing to try to do right by the town and especially Joe. Can Joe find it in his heart to let Zarrin prove to him just how serious he is or is his resentment against this town and everything associated with it too strong?

Zarrin and Joe’s journey takes the two by surprise. Nothing can stop a love that is fated to be. Life has made Joe hard and cynical but underneath it all is a sensitive man that longs for love. Zarrin sees the true Joe and is more than willing to fight to bring it out. I loved seeing their relationship become something strong and deep. The two must work through so much to find the truth of their feelings. I really liked Zarrin. He is so much stronger than he thinks, and it was nice to see him grow and find himself. The two are good for each other and their emotions shine through in everything that they do. Not only do we get the wonderful story of Joe and Zarrin, but we also get to see the true personalities of many of those that spend their time in the coffee shop. Love and friendships build and deepen as the story progresses and we begin to see the truth.

Narrator Dominic Carlos does a good job of bringing life to this world and its inhabitants. I was quickly immersed in their story and engaged all the way to the end.

Martin has always been the odd man out in the little town of Everlasting. He grew up confused and berated by his mother. Martin continues his bad habits as he grows up. No matter how independent he tries to be his mother constantly brings him down and only adds to his confusion. When his crush on Ian becomes known Martin does not know what to do but Ian is in hiding himself. Will these two ever find a way to a happy ending or will they forever miss out on love? Can the magic of love and friendship find it sway to these two as it works its way through the people of Everlasting?

Martin and Ian’s story is full of emotions. Both men are hiding what they truly are and what they feel. Their relationship grows at a nice pace and we get to see what Ian and Martin are like behind closed doors. The two men are so much more than what they show the rest of the world. While Martin and Ian find their way through everything Ian must also make some hard choices about helping the dragons. The world moves along and these two must make a decision on where they stand; together or apart? I loved the friendships that grow in this story. Not only do we see Ian and Martin find each other but we get more friendships growing along the way.

This story moves along at a good pace and narrator Christopher Patton brings this world and its characters to life nicely. I was quickly lost in their story and engaged all the way to the end.

His Mossy Boy brings us back to the world of wonder that R. Cooper has created with this series.  We met Martin and Ian before but this is their story and in it we get to learn so much more about them and their world.  Martin works at the coffee shop and everyone knows how messed up he can get and what kind of family he has grown up with. They let him be the way he is without truly seeing him. Yet Ian; a local deputy sees Martin and what he truly is inside. He comes to the coffee shop everyday just to get a glimpse of something that he knows he can never have. With the world changing and dragons arriving Ian and Martin are thrown together as friends gather at the coffee shop to figure it all out.  Can these two truly find happiness or has love turned its back on them?

I really enjoyed getting to see more of Ian and Martin. We learn so much about Martin’s past and how he uses the drugs and alcohol to hide. I loved the man Martin can be when he is sober. With the help of friends, he learns to stand on his own and fight the things that his mother says and does.  When Ian shows Martin the love that he longs for Martin uses that to strengthen himself. The two find that their love makes them stronger and that it is worth fighting for.

Not only do we get to watch Ian and Martin’s relationship take shape but we also get to see more of Joe and the dragons. Friendship and love are strong in this book and we get to see just what that strength can do.  Life in the town of Everlasting is changing and the dragons are not the only beings in town.

I truly enjoyed this visit to this world and hope that there is more to come. I would love to see Bernard and Azar get a story of their own.

David has had a bad time of it lately. Ever since his last relationship breakup became the schools gossip he has held himself back from everyone. When he finally decides to go to a Holiday party he lets himself go and becomes tipsy enough to flirt with the one fairy he truly loves. Yet there is so much that stops the two from becoming more than friends.  Even with all the obstacles that they face both David and Tulip find their attraction hard to resist. Their pasts hinder any future they might have but David cannot stop himself from longing for Tulip and no matter how hard he tries to stay away he always finds his way back to the fairy. Will love finally find its way to these two or will they both lose out?

David and Tulip’s story is a great addition to this series. No matter how hard these two try to avoid their emotions they can’t hide from them. Love will not be denied and you must be brave to grab and fight for it. I loved Tulip and David. The two make a wonderful couple. David may have grown up with a fairy as his best friend but there is still so much about the fairies that he doesn’t understand.  As he tries to give Tulip the space he needs he can’t help but feel the longing for him but he must remember Tulip does not date humans. So David tries to keep himself in check around the fairy but that is harder to do than he imagined. Tulip fights his attraction as well until they both are hurting.  I loved seeing these two find their way. Their story is so full of emotions and pulls at your heart at times.  Not only did the main characters make an impression but many of the supporting characters had a lot to say. I also enjoyed seeing an appearance of a special dragon in this story.  Each of the characters in this book is brought to life vividly and you cannot help but love each one in their own way.  The author does a wonderful job of painting a great world for readers and narrator Michael Fell http://www.audible.com/search/ref=a_search_c4_1_1_1_srNarr?searchNarrator=Michael+Fell&qid=1490206749&sr=1-1 does a wonderful job of bringing the characters of this book to life. As I listened to their story I became immersed in their world and all that it encompassed.

The Firebird and Other Stories is a great collection of short stories by R. Cooper. I enjoyed meeting each of the magical creatures and humans in these stories. Love comes to those who are worthy even if they themselves do not think they are. You will meet many wondrous beings in this world. I liked the way that many of these stories were interwoven and connected to each other. These stories are full of great characters that show so much emotion. Robert Nieman does a good job of bringing this world to life and I was quickly lost in this audio book.

I loved all of the characters in this book. From the Firebird to the imp, they all had great personalities and so much to say. None of them imagined that love would be something that they could attain but attain it they do. These are not all the beautiful fairy tale creatures that always come to mind. Alongside the Firebird and werewolf you will find a troll, an imp and more. These characters show great emotions and depth. Each of them is so much more than what they appear to be. Their human counterparts are just as unique and have just as much to say.

I was immediately immersed in their adventures and felt drawn to each couple and their adventure. As they learn that love is always worth the risk they also learn that they are worth that risk. Taking that chance may be hard but it could be so worth it. I hope that this is not the last time we get to visit these characters and their worlds.

When Zeki returns to his hometown he never guessed what he was walking into.  Always the odd human out Zeki does not recall his high school days fondly. The only thing from high school that he cares to remember is Theo: the wolf he had a crush on. Upon his return he finds out the Theo’s mate rejected him and since than Theo has led a lonely life. Zeki is determined to help Theo and even if he is just passing through. The years away have not diminished Zeki’s attraction to Theo and Zeki is about to find out just what truly happened all those years ago in high school. Will the truth come out and will it finally fix what went wrong or is there no going back for these two?

I really enjoyed this book. Robert Nieman does a wonderful job of narrating Theo and Zeki’s story. Their adventure is full of emotions. Zeki is a human and even though he grew up in a werewolf town he still has no clue about all the rules surrounding mates and dating. It was nice to see Zeki and Theo work through it all. Theo never blames Zeki and is more than willing to try again. I loved both Zeki and Theo. The feelings that they have for each other are evident in all that they do and say. Especially as they defend each other to other people even before they come together. The two make a great couple. Each one is always ready to understand and give the other what he needs. I cannot wait to see what more comes from these two once everything is all settled.

Their story moves at a nice pace and pulls you in right from the start. Not only was I engaged in Zeki and Theo’s story but I also found myself wanting to know about many of the other inhabitants of the town. The narrative brought this story to life for me and I enjoyed this visit and am excited to return again.

Tim has been hidden away by his Uncle all his life. He never learned anything about being a wolf or what it means. Having had enough of never being good enough, Tim runs away and hides from his Uncle. Landing in a small town where he is accepted and befriended Tim finds some peace. Even with the big Alpha sheriff constantly keeping tabs on him Tim actually begins to feel safe but just what does the sheriff want from him? He does not understand any of what the Nathaniel wants and is more confused than ever by his attraction to the big man. He has always known just how little he is and how much of a liability he can be. Why would a man like Nathaniel even notice him and when Tim’s uncle and his lackeys come to town Tim must decide what he will do.

Tim and Nathaniel’s story was nicely brought to life by Robert Neiman. He paints a vivid picture as he reads this book. I was quickly pulled in to their story and enjoyed the emotions that came through as the two men built the bond between them. As I listened to their story I felt as if I was right alongside them during their adventure.  Tim goes through a lot as he learns what it is to be a wolf. He must start from scratch and figure it all out for himself and the small town and its inhabitants are more than willing to help. Everyone but Tim himself understands what is going on between Tim and Nathaniel. Tim must work through it all as he tries to figure out what to do about his past that may have caught up with him. This is a wonderful world to get lost in. It is full of emotions and has a well-developed plot that grabs your attention.
