The evil that some men will do is boundless. When another king comes to their realm the men must take care but soon find that the man is intent on getting revenge on Rayner. The king and his entourage trick everyone into thinking the worst of Rayner and in return he demands Toka the foxling; as he has learned of their relationship and will do anything in his power to hurt Rayner. Is this the end of Rayner and Toka? Neither will survive what is to come. Will this turmoil also end the bond that has formed between Riley and Khalon?

I enjoyed Rayner and Toka’s story. The two truly love each other but because of out dated laws they are unable to be open and honest about their feelings. The two are great together and play off one another nicely. Both men have big hearts and have resigned themselves to what they think will always be their future. When evil shows its ugly head, the men watch as their future is taken away from them. Toka is a good-natured man who is willing to sacrifice everything for his king. Rayner has already pledged his life to his king but now he is ready to give that life away for Toka. I loved seeing the fight for love in this book. The pain that these two must endure is also something that affects Riley and Khalon as well. Emotions are high in this story as the men try to sort the truth out.

Narrator Manuel Pombo does a wonderful job of bringing this story to life and keeping me in the story all the way to the end.

What do you do when fate brings you face to face with the man of your dreams in your enemy? Werewolves Rome and Jules live this question first hand. Even when the two recognize what the other means to them there is nothing that they can do or is there? Help comes from an unexpected source and the two men must decide if their love is worth fighting for or if they will let others choose their destiny. Will these two sworn enemies find a way to true love or will hate continue to rule their lives?

Jules and Rome are both good men who will do what is demanded of them to save their families but once they meet emotions soon begin to change their thoughts. Each man is pulled in two different directions; do they follow their hearts or let their fathers dictate their lives? I was quickly lost in their story and both men easily endeared themselves to this reader.  Rome and Jules are much more than what they show to the world and because of it they have much more to lose.  Their story is a heart wrenching tale of love and pain. Emotions are strong and the two fight hard for trust and love to develop between them. I enjoyed watching their story unfold as Rome and Jules search for a way to defy the odds and find a happy ever after.

The author does a wonderful job of bringing this world and its characters to life with great depth and emotions. I hope that this is not the last that we see of these characters and their lives.

This anthology brings readers twelve different stories all revolving around Valentine’s Day. The stories run the gamut from old love to new love. These reads are quick and fast paced reads. You are treated to college students, shifters, models, office workers and reapers. Whether you enjoy the paranormal or plain everyday romance you can find something to whet your appetite in this collection of stories. As the relationships take place you are treated to the emotions and the bonding of the characters. Love has a way of finding its way to those that need it.

As with any collection of stories there are those that catch your eye more than others. I found a few in this set that grabbed my attention and as a whole this was a nice read. Each author brings readers a new world and characters that come to life. I enjoyed seeing many of the relationships begin to take shape and blossom. These stories are nice quick reads that have you hoping for the connection and the love to grow. We are given whole storylines and the plots wrap up nicely never leaving the reader wondering just what happens. The connections in these stories are hot and steamy reads. As a paranormal lover I gravitated more towards the shifter stories but I do not take away what the other stories added to this anthology. You can find stories that are sweet to sexy in this anthology. I enjoyed some characters and worlds more than others and would love to see more from those worlds but still cheered for love in the others. If you are looking for stories with a little more depth to them than just a quick Valentine’s Day hook up than this may be the book for you.
