Nevada has come to the city of Vampiropolis for some relaxing fun. On her last few days she decides to finally do something on the wilder side of things and stop being just a tourist. She soon finds herself enjoying the night with Luc a local vampire. From the start there is an attraction between the two but will it last or is this truly a fling to look back on fondly? Can there be more to Nevada and Luc's fun or will the past keep the two from going forward?

This story is an interesting idea. A whole city run and mostly lived in by vampires who enjoy letting humans come and visit as tourist. Nevada is one human who comes to visit in search of something different and she finds it in Luc. It was nice to see the way the two begin their relationship. Their banter made for a good read.  The two are good together but soon misunderstandings get in the way and Nevada finds herself back home and alone. I liked Nevada. She is a strong and independent woman who can stand on her own. Luc is a good man he comes off as arrogant but underneath his facade we see his true self. It was nice to see Luc fight for what he wanted.  Luc and Nevada's attraction is strong and we see it grow into something much deeper and worth fighting for.

Not only did Luc and Nevada make an impression on this reader but many of the secondary characters did as well making this a well-rounded story. I am eager to return to Vampiropolis to enjoy more from the likes of Lida and Renato.

Alexi Kurraine and Tianna have been friends for as long as they can remember. Always having each other’s backs and being there through all the good and bad times. Somewhere along the line that friendship grew into something much deeper and stronger yet neither knows what to do once they realize this.  Both wonder if they can have what they long for or if going there would ruin what they have. Alexi decides that he is going to take the plunge and let Tianna know what his true feelings are and let the chips fall where they may. Alexi knows that no matter what he will always want her in his life even if she does not feel the same way as him. Can he convince Tianna that they belong together or will he lose a good thing?

This is a sweet story of two great friends finding more in their relationship. Alexi and Tianna make a wonderful couple. The two are already as close as two people can get. There are no secrets between them except the one that could bring that friendship crashing down. Alexi is a good man and I loved seeing how much he adores Tianna. He is more than ready to do whatever it takes to prove to her that he loves her and to take a chance on them. Tianna is a smart and strong woman but finds it hard to feel secure enough to take that chance. Watching Alexi show Tianna just how much he wants their relationship to work made for a beautiful read. Their bond is already strong and it can only deepen from here on out. The two make a cute couple and the banter between them makes their story not only a hot one but also an engaging and fun read that will put a smile on your face.

Ok, I have to admit, I waited for this continued story with bated breath after reading CARNEVALE(Book 2 in Hades Helmet Series). SUBTERFUGE continues where CARNEVALE left off and it is one heart stopping moment from the get go. I love the way this author keeps you riveted from the beginning. Selena Illyria creates characters you end up falling in love with and she leaves you wanting more when the last page is read. With each book from this author, you are taken on a journey that will leave you breathless and I, for one, am eager for more.

We met Diego in CARNEVALE when he seduced Anarrae and gave her a wild, passionate time on Il Doge during Carnevale time. Now he is running the biggest con of his life as a favor for a family friend and if he fails, it could mean his life. Anarrae couldn’t get Diego out of her mind. When she is targeted on the Hades Helmet ship, she has no idea her lover is closer than she thinks. Lies, secrets and love all rolled up into something both Diego and Anarrae will have to face as danger mounts. I loved these two characters. Ms. Illyria does a wonderful job continuing their story in this second installment and the multidimensional characters keep the plot flowing smoothly. I even enjoyed seeing some familiar secondary characters from the first two books be included. Tight writing, fast pace and a mystery that will have you eagerly flipping the pages to see what happens next to scorching sex scenes that enhance the story instead of taking over are all in SUBTERFUGE.

SUBTERFUGE is a wonderful story that will keep you enthralled from the beginning. I do recommend reading CARNEVALE first in order to understand some of the past events that are mentioned in SUBTERFUGE. If you are looking for one hot, erotic ride with a hint of mystery and romance, then grab SUBTERFUGE. I am eager to see who is next on the Hades Helmet Crew to find love as well as adventure.

She brings sexy fantasies, tension and a diabolical plan to the readers who are eager to see what Drogan has in store for Rena. I absolutely loved this story and frankly, the way Drogan plays Rena was fascinating though I did want to smack him for being a royal pain in not telling Rena his feelings before he implements “THE PLAN”. With a fast paced storyline, some really sexy scenes between Drogan and Rena as well as alone, Ms. Illyria gives the reader a fascinating glimpse inside a world that may be in our future.

Meet Rena, the assistant to Captain Drogan Carter. She has harbored a mad crush over him for awhile now and has tried to ease the sexual tension she feels whenever she is around him. When her disc of sexual fantasies falls into Drogan’s hands, will she be able to live down that she has wanted him since day one or will she lose the most important thing in her life: Drogan? I loved the way Rena and Drogan connected on more ways that one. The fact they refused to speak of their feelings for one another and instead just enacted out fantasies had me smothering a laugh as the story unfolded. I really enjoyed how diabolical Drogan was in getting Rena as his own with what he considered “The Plan”. The secondary characters rounded out a wild fun time on Hades Helmet and I thought they gave a delightful eye into this spaceship.

Ms. Illyria is a talented author who captures your attention from the first page until the last. If you enjoy a rollicking fun read on a hot summer evening, then grab AT DROGAN’S COMMAND and get ready for the ride of your life. I highly enjoyed it and look forward to more stories from the Hades Helmet crew.

Meet Anarrae, a member of the Hades Helmet Crew who is on weekend leave. She wants her secret fantasy to come alive and she paid good money to make it happen but when she meets a mysterious man who she finds exceedingly handsome, can she find a way to let him into her heart and her bed? Ms. Illyria always has some interesting characters and this time she introduces some wonderful secondary characters that will keep you guessing. I loved the way Anarrae is tough yet vulnerable at the same time. She wants to live out her fantasies yet she never expected to fall for the man who gives her the best time of her life. Anarrae is a character a reader can relate to and enjoy. I really enjoyed how she can be tough one minute yet the next her knees are weak and her blood is singing for the one man who makes her body sing with desire.

I love the way this author writes- Tight writing, fast paced storyline and a really cool cast of characters. She definitely leaves you wanting more. Will Anarrae find out who her mysterious seducer is or will she find out a secret of her own about him that will jeopardize everything she has worked for? With some really yummy scenes and a climatic ending that has you scrambling to find out when book three comes out, CARNEVALE is a book that will keep you entertained on a lazy afternoon. I am looking forward to the next adventure for the Hades Helmet crew…how about you?

I really liked this story. It’s so full of raw emotions that sweep the reader up and carries her long to the end. I like the kind of story that deals with the characters and their journey on the road to a happy ending. Ms Illyria puts her characters through an emotional wringer that makes them stronger. The reader will also be going through that wringer with them. Magda is a woman torn between her family and the love of her life. This is another great story in the VAMPIROPOLIS series and I do believe they are getting better and better. I’m looking forward to more and hope there will be many more. Ms Illyria writes such a captivating story with wonderful characters, you just want more!!

Lida Sandros is on a dead end road with her boyfriend and decides to end the relationship. She’d really like to settle down and find someone who will love her and cuddle her, but since Xavier Hido walked out on her she’s having trouble finding Mr. Right. Xavier has been researching the history of Vampiropolis and getting into deep trouble. In order to protect the ones he loves, he left. He’s regretted leaving Lida behind but he didn’t want to put her at risk. Trouble is, Lida has been given an artifact and is now in the very danger that Xavier was trying to protect her from. He now also realises he needs her, but, after breaking her heart once can he convince Lida of that?

I really enjoyed this book. It’s just right for an evening quickie. The romance is so sexy and sensual, it got my motor running. This story should come with a big warning to keep a bucket of ice nearby or your sweetie. The plot is quite exciting too, with strange artifacts doing strange things and even stranger things happening. Yes, altogether strange. But while Xavier and Lida are finding things out, their relationship is going up in flames and they are heating up this book with some delicious love scenes. Selena Illyria gives her readers an emotion packed story with an adventure that keeps the pages turning. The characters leap off the pages and secondary characters add even more spice and everything nice. I want more!

Trouble because she didn’t think she’d fall in love, but it can’t last. It’s time to go home. She will have to convince herself it was only a fling after all. But Lucian hasn’t forgotten Nevada. He’s had a few issues to sort out, but then he goes off to Normalville to hunt her down. What will Nevada do when she faces the man she thought only wanted a short affair?

Selena Illyria has imagined a world where vampires and humans co-exist. Vampiropolis is a place where vampires can live in peace, except for the tourists of normal humans who come to visit and get to experience their world. This story is a steamy, hot romance that will get the reader going. I really liked the elevator scene. One might wish to be caught in an elevator with a handsome man themselves. I also enjoyed the dialogue and the secondary characters, of which Lucian’s sister is the best. I hope there will be a story about her. Thing is, I couldn’t warm up to Lucian. I found him a bit too alpha at the beginning. He is very arrogant. Nevertheless I did enjoy this story and think many other lovers of vampire tales will too.
