Seventeen year old Haley Cooke is missing, disappearing from her inside her high school without a trace. FBI Profiler Evelyn Baine is brought in to figure out who would want to harm Hailey and why. But as she digs into Hailey’s life, she finds secrets all around. From Hailey’s parents to her boyfriend who has some questionable connections, Evelyn is against the clock as days lead to more questions than answers. But one of those secrets is the catalyst for Hailey being taken and its up to Evelyn to figure out the pieces before time runs out for Hailey. The closer Evelyn gets to uncovering Hailey’s fate, the higher the danger is for her them both. Because someone doesn’t want Evelyn to find out the answers and will do everything in their power to stop her.

STALKED is the fourth book in the series and one that delivers more thrills a minute as the reader races alongside Evelyn as she tries to figure out what happened to Hailey. The author does a great job in keeping the tension up as well as a few twists that had me on the edge of my seat while I flipped the pages to see what would happen next. I really enjoy this author’s work immensely. I got hooked on her profiler series right from the first book and she does an amazing job in capturing Evelyn’s personality as well as her skill set as a FBI profiler. The author does an amazing job in keeping the tension alive as Evelyn and her boyfriend, fellow FBI agent Kyle Mackenzie’s cases converge. I liked how intricate and complex the story was. It kept my attention and glued to the pages as I flipped the pages to see where the mystery of Hailey’s disappearance went. The author does an amazing job in keeping the tension on high as she threw a few twists I didn’t see coming. Who I thought was the bad guys wasn’t t he case in the climatic ending.

STALKED is a great addition to the Profiler series and one that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the last page is read. The characters are quite entertaining and the mystery is intriguing. I do recommend reading the series in order since you can get a sense of what is driving Evelyn and who the recurring characters pop up are. This is an intense, nail biting read and one I could not put down. I think if you enjoy taut who done it mysteries then you will enjoy this series immensely. I am eager to see where the author goes next in the series and for Evelyn.

Wow, just wow is all I can think of as I finished SEIZED. The third book in the Profiler series is breakneck wild thriller with a few twists I so did not see coming. With the right amount of tension, thrills, mystery tossed in, the author keeps the tension and suspense notched on high as she leads the reader the climatic ending that just blew me away. I won’t spoil it for those who haven’t read it yet but I can say hold on to your hats, Evelyn’s job as a profiler is about to get a tad bumpy.

Meet Evelyn Baine. She is one of the youngest FBI Profilers and one of the most intense. She is all about the job and after the events (which are mentioned a few times) from book two (Vanished) still taking its toll on her, she finds herself at a crossroads in her life. Stay at the FBI or find some other passion in life to do-career wise. But life has a funny way of showing you just what you are made of and when she is kidnapped, well things go from glum to downright dangerous in a matter of minutes. This is a character I loved right from book one, Hunted, She reminds me of Alison Brennan’s Lucy Kincaid, another series that has the FBI in it and Ms. Heiter delivers a strong female lead with vulnerabilities that are covered up by her intensity of the job. She keeps my attention on this wonderful complex character right from the start of SEIZED and won’t let me go until the very end of the book. This is definitely an author who knows how to create characters that are striking, enjoyable and downright unforgettable. The secondary characters are equally intriguing and I found they added to the overall story arc very nicely. They moved the story along nicely and kept my attention on Evelyn’s story, namely who was the mastermind of this cult and are they determined to cause harm on US soil?

SEIZED is a riveting story and kept my attention from the first page to the last. The few twists the author threw in had my jaw dropping and me furiously turning the pages like mad to see what would happen next. I do recommend reading books one (Hunted) and 2 (Vanished) before SEIZED, just to see what drove Evelyn to be so intense as a profiler and why she choose  the FBI BAU as a career. Overall, SEIZED is one wild suspenseful story that will leave you reading till the wee hours of the night, just so you could see what would happen next. I am eager to see where this author goes in the series and can’t wait for another book. I highly recommend this author and the Profiler Series if you enjoy heart pounding suspense filled stories that leave you breathless till the very end.

For a debut author like Elizabeth Heiter to totally immerse me in the world of FBI Criminal profilers and the chase of a killer, was astounding. I literally lost track of time as the twists and turns in the book left me reeling even as I flipped the pages quickly to see what would happen next for Evelyn. This is an author who knows how to tease and torment her readers to the point of obsessing over what the killer would do next. I know I was one of those readers going ‘come on, you are so close’ to the pages. I have to point out that it is the characters that also contribute to the strong storyline as well. Evelyn is a flawed heroine which really drew me to her. She had secrets in her past she was determined to keep there and her drive in the FBI’s BAU division is almost to the obsessive point but you can’t help but feel for her as well. Especially when some secrets from her past come to light in the story that tells the reader just what makes Evelyn tick. The writing is very good and the story flows smoothly with enough twists to keep the reader glued to the pages till the very end.

Meet Evelyn Baine. One of the FBI’s rising stars in the BAU and a top notch criminal profiler. Her past has pushed her to where she is today and when she is chosen to give a profile on a killer called the ‘Bakersville Burier’, Evelyn will find the killer’s mind is a web of trails and she will need all her skills as a FBI Agent to beat this madman in his game. I really enjoyed meeting and getting to know Evelyn. She is a flawed yet vulnerable woman who pushes herself to do the best she can in her job, almost to the point where it becomes an obsession with her as she barely has a social life to speak of. I really think Evelyn is a woman you can’t help but fall a bit in love with as you read HUNTED. Her life has been chaotic and at times, very painful yet you get a sense that this is a person who knows what she wants to do in life and is determined to succeed no matter the cost. The author created some amazing secondary characters that I am hoping get more page time in the future books of this series. All the characters are well written and keep the story flowing smoothly.

HUNTED is a story that gripes you until the very end and doesn’t let up on the roller coaster ride at all. I loved every minute of HUNTED and cannot wait for the next book to come out. I just wish it wasn’t a year away. If you enjoy a dose of suspense with a dash of character development and more in your books, then you might want to try this new author out. I was pleasantly surprised by this debut novel and have added this author as an auto-buy for me.
