Once Rachel and Jessica Clayton where close as can be as sisters but then life caused them to go n different directions and now Jess makes a living helping others downsize because as she knows from experience, less is better. As she takes a job in Cape Sanctuary, she hopes to see her sister Rachel and her family there even as she dreads it. Once she protected her little sister but the years haven’t made a dent on the guilt she feels after her parents deaths caused such hardship for them both.

Rachel is determined to have the perfect life, the perfect marriage and do it all. But with a child who is disabled and a marriage where she finds herself failing at, Rachel is at the breaking point and perfection is not in reach. As Jess and Rachel navigate being a family, Rachel knows from experience not to count on Jess to much as Jess never did family at all. But as Jess finds herself becoming attached to her client and her family as well as getting to know her sister and her family again. Maybe both Jess and Rachel will see that perfection isn’t as cracked up as it is and sometimes family means messy and lots of love. Can both the women find a way to move forward or will they go their separate ways?

THE PATH to SUNSHINE COVE is the next standalone novel in RaeAnne Thayne’s Cape Sanctuary series and one I find highly entertaining. With a mix of unique and intriguing characters that make up the small town, I find myself drawn into the world Ms. Thayne created and long to visit all the wonderful places she describes in the books. In this newest installment, we meet Rachel and Jess, sisters torn apart by tragedy and missteps. Each has a view of their past and present that just might not be all that there is to say about it. Guilt at not being perfect is causing Rachel to be so worn down that she doesn’t have energy for anything else, least of all her husband. Jess is determined to be footloose and fancy free because getting tangled up isn’t safe for her or her heart. But in Cape Sanctuary, healing can begin even when you don’t go looking for it. I loved how Jess and Rachel can reconnect more deeply as they work through their issues and find that the past doesn’t always have to lead their present and future. Sometimes to move on, you need to settle the past and let it rest before you can go forth to new adventures. The story flows so seamlessly I was caught up in it that I forgot to eat or even grab a drink. I wanted to see what would happen next for everyone there. Plus, I loved seeing the past characters from the first two books (The Cliff House and The Sea Glass Cottage) show up and move the story along as well.

What I genuinely enjoyed about this book was how much Jess and Rachel grew as a person and figured out what they needed from themselves as well as from each other for them to continue a relationship. It made me happy to see how much these two main characters went through in order to get to where they were at the end of the book. With each book this author puts out, I am finding a wealth of enjoyment in the setting she creates as well as the highly entertaining and beautifully written characters that populate them. If you are looking for a heartfelt story full of highs and lows, laughs and tears then then this is a perfect book to enjoy. I do recommend making sure you eat first, grab a drink or two and settle in because Ms. Thayne will tear your heart out then shove it back in with a smile on your face at the end of the book. I can’t wait to see where she goes next in the Cape Sanctuary series and who might show up next there in need of healing.

Two sisters and their aunt find their lives are in flux as they reveal secrets that have been hidden for years. When their mother died, Daisy and Beatriz Davenport moved in with their aunt Stella in Cape Sanctuary. They never realized Stella put her dreams on hold to be the parent they needed and as now the girls are grown and gone, Stella realizes its time to focus on her dreams, but she has a secret that will rock their little family.

Bea got pregnant too young and her marriage was rocky. As Bea finds love with an old friend and raises her daughter, Marisol, her ex returns to cause havoc in their lives once again.

Daisy always played it safe and when she meets a man who makes her risk so much, Daisy is blindsided by her feelings for him and makes her question everything she thought she knew about life, love and relationships.

Three women are at the crossroads and as true happiness waits for them, it will take the strength of all three to get their hearts desire filled with love and happiness.

I really enjoyed THE CLIFF HOUSE by one of my go to favorite authors, RaeAnne Thayne. This is her first women’s fiction book and I must admit; it took me awhile to get into the book as the main characters didn’t quite connect with me right away. Once I finally got into the characters journey, I fell in love with Bea, Daisy and Stella. The story flows smoothly and the characters are just enjoyable as well as highly relatable. This is an author who can capture her readers hearts with her amazing complex characters and deliver a heartfelt story filled with a few twists and turns you definitely don’t see coming.

THE CLIFF HOUSE centers on Daisy, Bea and Stella. Stella raised the girls after their mother died, putting her dreams off to the side as she cared for the sisters and loved them. But its time for Stella and the girls to figure out where they want to go in life and to realize that love and dreams can happen at any age and at any time. With her trademark writing style, the author delivers a story that steals the heart and never let’s go. The characters are complex, relatable and highly enjoyable to boot. I love the interactions between the sisters and aunt as well as meeting many other characters in Cape Sanctuary. If you haven’t read one of this author’s books before, this is a perfect introduction to her work though I highly recommend her Haven Point series as well. I can’t wait to see where the author goes next in the women’s fiction genre and what else she has up her sleeve for the readers to enjoy.

For librarian Julie Winston, she feels like she needs to shake things up a bit in her life. She wants to experience new things, expand her horizons but she never anticipated that falling for her sexy Romeo of a neighbor, Jamie Caine, was the way to go.

When she finds two young boys, brothers, end up in her care for the holidays, she finds Jamie harder to resist especially as he helps Julie out with the boys and to broaden her horizons, one thing at a time. But what happens when Julie finds herself falling in love with Jamie and can she risk her most prized possession- her heart- to Jamie?

I adore RaeAnne Thayne’s novels and her latest holiday story in Haven Point, SUGAR PINE TRAIL, is sweet and delightful from start to finish. We met Jamie back a few books ago and I loved how this guy is so adorable, a rascal and has a sweet sensitive side that doesn’t come out to play until he meets Julie’s new friends. Ms. Thayne delivers a story full of emotion and more as the reader enjoys the holidays in Haven Point and I loved meeting back up with a ton of favorite characters and a few new ones. I loved how cheerful Julie was with parents who taught her the value of helping people who may need it. She does this with a smile and cheer that just astounded me. I loved how Julie literally opened her home to two brothers while trying to make sure they got the home they needed at the time and the love they so desired. She was a delight to enjoy reading about and I, for one, was cheering her on right from page one. Add in Jamie Caine who is a playboy with a past who is determined to find what his brother has found with his lady love, a rented apartment in quiet librarian’s home and you got the makings of a story that will knock your socks off.

RaeAnne Thayne is a wonderful storyteller who delivers heartfelt stories that readers can delve into and enjoy, regardless of the season. Each book is well written and captures the small-town charm that is Haven Point and at times, Hope’s Crossing, which has some of these characters   Haven Point stories. The characters are what makes this one of my go to series to read when I need a pick me up. The characters are so well written, delightful and yes, entertaining, that I fall in love with them all over again. Ms. Thayne continues to deliver diverse and intriguing characters in her stories that capture your heart and never let go.

SUGAR PINE TRAIL is a delightful holiday read that can be read at anytime of the year. I look forward to more visits to Haven Point in the future and hope you can check this series out. You won’t be disappointed at all.

For Bowie Callahan, finding someone ASAP to help care for his newfound brother is a priority. Being attracted to Katrina Bailey wasn’t one of them until he sees her interact with Milo and head off a breakdown in the middle of the grocery store. Kat is determined to not work for Bowie. She is so close to her goal in adopting an orphan from South America that she wants nothing to do with rich, entitled Bowie. But looks can be deceiving and as Kat finds out, there is more to Bowie than the what she sees on the surface. As Kat is drawn more into Bowie and Milo’s life, she finds that sometimes what you see isn’t what you get.

I adore this series. Ms. Thayne delivers another wonderful story that is compassionate, delightful as it is heartfelt. The writing is tight and the story flows smoothly with a fast pace. I love meeting Bowie and Milo and finding how these two brothers can come together as a family with a little help. Katrina is a character that comes off in the beginning as aloof and very judgmental. She tears into Bowie and is so cold, I was wondering if this was one book in the series I just wasn’t going to enjoy. Within a few chapters the readers see just how determined she was in her goal in being a better person. Slowly as she warms up to Bowie and Milo, I saw the real Kat behind the façade and loved her to pieces. Bowie is a man drowning-in work, a family situation thrust upon him out of the blue and an attraction to the lovely Katrina that takes him out of his comfort zone. Ms. Thayne captures these two main characters perfectly within SERENITY HARBOR. They just click together even as time and other issues keep cropping up.

This is an author who delivers heartfelt stories that just steal the readers heart with each page turned. The secondary characters from past books pop up and move the story along with smiles, humor and more. I love the dynamics of all the characters and feel this really does showcase what living in a small town is like. Everyone knowing your business, people determined to give their opinion no matter what, etc. Ms. Thayne captures that perfectly in her Haven Point series and makes it a star in the series. SERENITY HARBOR is a jewel in the series and I loved every minute of it. The other star was Milo. What an adorable character and I fell just a little bit in love with him while reading SERENITY HARBOR.

If you are looking for a romance filled with sparks, small town life and just a bit of romance, then you need to read Haven Point series. It’s a fun and sweet series that will steal your heart and never let go. I look forward to seeing where the next book in the series, Sugar Pine Trail, goes in the series next.

Andrea Montgomery has spent a rough two years after the death of her husband and now all she wants is for her children to have a happy and safe holiday in their new hometown of Haven Point. But when her good friend, Wynona, asks her to keep an eye out for her brother, Marshall Bailey, after he broke his leg, well Andrea can’t say no to the woman who she and her children owe so much, she never anticipates finding Marshall so dang appealing even if he growls and is quite grouchy towards her.

Marshall hates sitting on the sidelines as he heals from a mysterious hit-and-run accident. But he never anticipated finding Andrea so adorable or falling for her two kids even as his protective instincts rise up whenever she is around. As a blizzard forces these two together for the holiday, sparks fly and Marshall finds himself drawn to the gentle and spirited woman that is Andrea and enjoys the excitement of the season on her kids’ faces. But if these two headstrong people can’t figure out what their heart is telling them and risk it all, then they just might not get all they could have this Christmas season.

I adore Ms. Thayne’s books and her newest one in the acclaimed Haven Point series (which is a spin-off from her Hope’s Crossing series), SNOWFALL ON HAVEN POINT, delivers a romance that will steal your heart and deliver a story that just makes you breathless. I love seeing some familiar faces and we see some new ones as well in this latest installment. This is a story that started when we met Andrea and her kids in Redemption Bay in Wynona’s story and continues with Andrea having her own book next. I love how the author incorporates such wonderful small town traditions and setting in her Haven Point and Hope’s Crossing series. With each book in the series, we get drawn into a place filled with intriguing characters, a storyline that is as real as can be and a setting that just makes you want to go visit. The author does a wonderful job in capturing that spirit of small towns-the good and the bad-and makes the reader feel like they are right beside her beloved characters as well.

Meet Marshall Bailey and Andrea Montgomery. Two people who are polar opposites yet are drawn to one another after putting down the wall around their hearts. We met these two secondary characters in Redemption Bay and I was thrilled to see Andrea get her own story after that book and to my surprise it was with Marshall Bailey, Sheriff of Lake Haven, and Wynona’s older brother. I love these two characters together. Andrea and her kids soften stern and tough Marshall and he pretty much melts into a puddle after he begins to fall for her, kicking and screaming all the way. The chemistry between these two is off the charts and it simmers between them continually. I enjoyed catching up with some familiar and favorite characters as well as some new ones that I am really hoping become more prominent in future books in the series. The characters are well written and show vulnerabilities that real people have. They also stole my heart, more than once. The secondary characters kept the story flowing smoothly and I found that they added a little light heartedness to the storyline that alleviated the search for answers in Marshall’s hit-and-run driver.

SNOWFALL ON HAVEN POINT is a delightful read that will transport you to a small town filled with heart and with characters that will feel like family after your done reading the book. I am really hoping Ms. Thayne continues with this amazing series and hope you can pick up any of her books since they are so dang good. If you are looking for a great holiday story to read then grab SNOWFALL ON HAVEN POINT and get ready to fall in love with a small town that delivers more than you think.
