Izzy has always wanted to be a filmmaker. Her ten-year class reunion is looming and she is desperate to go as a success. She is going to make a documentary about gangsters and their favorite vacation spots. And she has the perfect opportunity with the land her family owns, but is getting ready to sell. She travels to the White Bear Lodge. But she hides her true identity when she learns the Murphy family is not exactly her family’s biggest fans.

Gib’s family owns the run-down resort on the Gordon land. Their 100-year lease is about to expire and they need to come up with the money to buy the property. He is hoping to convince the filmmakers to show the lodge in it’s best light. But before long it is not just the resort he hopes makes a good impression on.

Author Pamela Ford has given us a fantastic book about following our dreams. That is what both Gib and Izzy are trying to do. I was intrigued to know how or if both would be able to obtain their dreams when forces seemed to be against them. And just what will Gib’s reaction be when he learns who Izzy really is…the daughter of the people who are taking away his grandfather’s dream. And will the Murphy’s be able to save their family business? The suspense was KILLING me! Ms Ford didn’t rush right into it and keeps the reader guessing.

What I found so amusing was Izzy’s film partner, Shelly. She was sure there was something underhanded going on and she let her imagination run wild! She made me smile on more than one occasion!

Ms. Ford penned a wonderful story that I thoroughly enjoyed. I hope to read more from this author in the years to come. If you like Harlequin Super Romances, then this one will not disappoint you.

Delaney McBride left her hometown in Wisconsin and never planned to go back. Mike Connery was Delaney’s biggest crush as a teenager, and she has never forgotten how he made her feel. She has never been a believer in fairy tales, storybook endings, and the happily ever after. When Delaney finds out that in order to inherit her aunt’s money, she has to finish planning five weddings her aunt was the wedding planner for. Not only does Delaney have a task to finish, but she has to keep the others who stand to inherit from not finishing their tasks. Mike and his friend Dan have a 1957 Chevy to restore, and Skully and Stonewall have to create a new bandstand for the local school in order for anyone to get their money.

Delaney McBride has taken over this reader’s heart as a favorite heroine. She has faced her tormentors from school and become a woman who knows what she wants. While Mike and Dan have no idea how much she hated being called “Pumpkin” she knows she has to stand up to them. When Mike pushes her buttons she is hot headed, and loveable. Her temper matches her red hair making her come alive from the pages of THE WEDDING HEIRESS. Pamela Ford has taken Mike Connery from small town mechanic and big city lawyer and turned him into a hero worth fighting to get to know. Delaney may think she has gotten over Mike, and hates when he calls her Pumpkin, but truly her heart knows best. When Delaney lets down her guard, Mike takes the right steps into her heart and Ms. Ford brings a winning romance with their combination of characters.

The plot thickens from simply an old woman leaving a crazy old will, when someone tries to sabotage the plans for the weddings. As Delaney unravels the mystery and gets to know Mike as an adult she finds herself intrigued not only with weddings and planning, but with the citizens of the small town where she grew up. Secondary characters fill this novel out with a bang; the quirky citizens of Holiday Bay are priceless. This reader hopes Ms. Ford will return to give us more from a great town.
