This is a nice collection of stories from this author. Each one gives readers a story about a different couple in the BDSM lifestyle. In these stories there is one man who is new to the lifestyle and must figure out just what he needs and wants. All the men are strong, but some are searching for something that they are missing in their lives. They may not even know what they are looking for, but it seems the Dominant man in the relationship realizes what it is and is more than ready to give it to them.
Each of these stories gives you well fleshed out characters that are full of emotions. The men are finding their way and learning to trust. Will they follow their hearts, or will they let it all slip away?

THE STROKE OF TWELVE is a story of a young man who needs direction and finds it through an older man. Each day he learns to understand his wants and needs as he begins a journey to submit. It was nice to watch Devon find his way and try to improve himself with the help of his Dom by his side.

BEFORE HE CHEATS gives readers a story about two men of different classes and different worlds. When Leon is faced with the thought of Rupert and he not being exclusive he does not know what to do. All Leon knows is that he must find a way to show Rupert that he is worth being exclusive for. It was nice to see the way Leon begins to be a bit more aggressive with Rupert in their relationship. The two are good together and I enjoyed seeing the two work through their issues and fight for what they have.

WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE is a nice story of one man finding himself and another realizing his worth. Elijah has always had a fantasy and on a dare his cousin has made him turn it into reality. When Aaron shows up at the bar Elijah is at that fantasy hits home, but Elijah has some demons in his past. The attraction between the two men is strong and soon they find themselves in a fantasy world of their own, but it seems that Aaron’s past is making it hard for a future. I enjoyed seeing Elijah grow and figure out just what he wants. It was nice to see him fight for what he wants and show Aaron that he is more than what he thinks.

This box set contains three stories. Each one gives readers a look at a different couple. Each of them facing their own dilemmas’. Readers get three different couples: college students, a Master and sub and a D/s couple. Can they each figure out how to fix their relationships or will they lose what they have? The men must realize how to find what they want and need before it slips through their fingers. Can friendships and relationships endure?

Each of these three stories gives readers a couple that is in a different kind of relationship and has different problems. It was interesting to see the different characters and worlds that were built and how their problems were dealt with.
In YOU FIRST Luke struggles with his intense reactions to Justin his younger lover. While Luke enjoys letting Justin rule in the bedroom, he longs to be able to outlast the younger man and soon this begins to interfere in their relationship. When it all comes to the forefront the men must take a look at themselves and what they truly want from their relationship. This is an interesting story where pride may end something before it even begins.

The story TIME TO DO gives us two old friends who are rooming together in college. Brennan has always loved his straight friend Rigby even thought he knew nothing could ever be between them. He was always happy to be on the sidelined when it came to Rigby but on look at Rigby’s list changes it all. Soon a simple agreement from Brennan to help Rigby with his list becomes so much more and emotions come into play. I enjoyed seeing the way the relationship developed between these two.
BI NOW, GAY LATER gives us a look into Jerry and Denton’s Master and sub relationship. When a scene goes wrong because of a disagreement on a man being bi or gay the couple finds their world tumbling down. The two quickly lose what they had, and pain fills their lives. Jerry longs for Denton but how can he live with a man who does not want him as he is. This story is more emotional than the others and pulls on the readers heartstrings. The two find out the hard way that love should be unconditional and without labels.

The author does a good job of bringing each of these stories to life. I found the characters to be full of emotions and it was nice to see them work through their hardships and fight for a happy ever after.

This anthology gives us a variety of enticing worlds and adventures from eight enthralling authors. Each story pulls the reader into its world and does not let go until the end. All of the stories revolve around some kind of relationships that involves kink and takes place around the holidays. We get to enjoy so many different characters and their loves and lives.

Tree Topper by Jane Davitt gives us Martin and Stan. A new couple as well as a new Dom. Martin is new to the lifestyle and his sub Stan has pushing his buttons and this time he may have pushed too far.

’Twas the Night by Ava March is Percival and Michael’s story. On this night Michael is determined to get Percival to finally ask for what he wants.

In Fireworks by Katie Porter Rachel and Emma share a special New Year’s night before Rachel leaves for Tokyo. Will this be the goodbye that Emma thinks it is or will she receive the surprise of her life?

Candy Caning by L.A. Witt is Nate and Stephen’s story. Every year they visit Nate’s family for Christmas but this year Nate hates what has now become a chore. That is until Stephen finds a way to make it into a highly erotic adventure.

Submissive Angel by Joey W. Hill takes us into the lives of Ange and Robert. Ange has worked for Robert ever since Robert found him in the alley behind his store. Robert has tried to stay away from him but he longs for Ange and what they could be. On this night he returns to the store unannounced and finds he cannot withstand the pull of Ange.

Open Return by Elyan Smith brings us Zach and his return to a small town that he left behind so many years ago. Laura and Scott are a dominant couple that he returns to, but will they accept him back or has he run out of time?

Ring Out the Old and In the New by Alexa Snow gives us the story of Evan and Russell. After an attack in the train station that leaves him scarred. Evan longs to hide away from the world but Russell will not let him go without a fight and he is determined to show Evan just how beautiful he still is.

His Very Last Chance by Kim Dare tells us the story of Kingsley and Drew. After hearing Drew talking to other subs he makes a decision to prove to Drew that there is so much more to their relationship than just sex.

This book gives us so much more than a quick hot read. These stories are all full of emotions with characters full of depth. Love and trust plays a strong role in each and every one of these stories. I enjoyed seeing the depth of feelings that these couples have and the lengths that they will go through to show each other just how much they mean to them. As with any anthology there were stories that grabbed my attention more than others but I still enjoyed it as whole and will be sure to look for more from these authors. I would also like to mention another great reason to read this book; 20% of all proceeds from this book is being donated to the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom.
