REAPER-THE BEGINNING is an interesting twist on the Nephalim and it definitely draws you in and captures your interest as you read it. Full of intriguing characters, fast pace storyline and tight writing makes this one story that will keep you entertained from start to finish. I found Ms. Holt to be a wonderful writer that really delves into the world of REAPER and delivers a gripping twist on the Nephalim.
Meet Samantha Bennett, a woman who finds herself with powers she never knew she had. As a Nephalim, part human/angel hybrid with partial power of a fallen angel, she is determined to deliver justice after being attacked at a young age. Samantha finds herself delivering her brand of justice that her dark half craves. Now older and a cop, Samantha has to balance the light and dark halves of her life and wonders if she can ever live a normal life especially as she finds herself falling for her co-worker who may stumble upon her night life activities. Strong, tough and very unique is what comes to mind when I first read REAPER. Ms. Holt delivers a wonderful and intriguing character that is a breath of fresh air to me. Samantha is strong, tough and just a little bit vulnerable as well. Full of contradictions, she comes across as deadly yet sexy. Add in her love interest Neal, who is just one hot hunk of a man, you have the makings of a complicated love story that has Samantha teetering on the edge of discovery.
REAPER-THE BEGINNING is a delightfully well told story that will keep you on the edge of your seat as you weave yourself through the world that t his author has created. With interesting characters, plot twists and some really hot love scenes, REAPER-THE BEGINNING is sure to get you looking for more from this author. All I want to know is: will there be more of the REAPER?
