It took Bethanne Hamlin six years to get her life back together after that fateful day, when her ex-husband walked away from her and their two kids. Now on a road trip with her ex-mother-in-law, Ruth and her daughter Annie, Bethanne will have to figure out if she wants reconciliation with her ex-husband, Grant or take a chance on the mysterious Max, a man she meets along the way. Three women, three lives and all will change with the decisions they make on this trip.

Debbie Macomber is one of those authors that whenever you pick up one of their books, you always feel like you are coming home after a long journey. I may be biased but I adore the Blossom Street Series the most. It has a growing cast of characters that steal your heart and then proceed to make you fall in love with them. I read about Bethanne a few books into the series and knew she would eventually find her very own prince charming. Ms. Macomber delivers a strong story that isn’t just about Bethanne, but also about Annie and Ruth as they find the answers they never expected to find. The story is very well written, with the subplots of all three women seamlessly coming together at different times. This is an author who really knows her characters and gives them their voice to share their stories with the reader. The story flows smoothly and completely captures your imagination till the very end.

With each page I was pulled in deeper and finding myself rooting for all there to find their own happily ever after in the end. A TURN IN THE ROAD is one of those books you can read in one sitting and then once you finish that last page, are eager for more adventures with the beloved Blossom Street residents. I don’t want to give much away on the storyline except it will surely bring you tears of joy in the end. As you go along with Bethanne, Annie and Ruth, you find yourself riding alongside them or seeing the sights through their eyes even as you flip the pages of this latest release. Ms. Macomber is a talented author who certainly delivers one of her best stories to date. A TURN IN THE ROAD is a heartfelt story of second chances and forgiveness and is definitely one book I will read again in the near future. If you are looking for a series to enjoy with wonderful and intriguing characters & a storyline that draws you from the first page then I highly recommend any book by Debbie Macomber. She truly creates works of art with each novel she writes.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
