Kyle
Slidell’s favorite holiday is Christmas. So when he surprises his werewolf lover,
Tobias Rogan with Christmas lights and a tree, he finds himself torn between
anger and fear for Tobias doesn’t react like Kyle thought he would. Instead
Tobias disappears and when Kyle finally finds him on Christmas Eve, it is up to
Kyle to show Tobias that he can make new memories of the holiday…with his mate,
Kyle.

Colcroft’s Real Werewolves Don’t Eat Meat series is a riot. There is humor,
mystery, action and lots of man lovin’. In this quick short novella set between
book 1, Salad on the Side and Book 2, Veggie Burgers to Go, we
find Kyle and Tobias having their first Christmas together. Too bad no one
bothered to tell Kyle that Tobias hates the holidays with a passion. I have to
stress you should read book one first in order to get what some past events
Kyle and Tobias mention in this story are about. The story flows smoothly and there is humor,
passion and fear. This is a story that will leave you breathless until the very
end.
Meet
Kyle and Tobias. Kyle is now a werewolf but a vegan one at that which is as
anti-werewolf as you can get. What werewolf doesn’t eat meat? The relationship
between Kyle and Tobias is passionate, erotic and at times very tender. There
are ups and downs in any relationship but this is an author who captures Kyle’s
confusion, Tobias’s pain and more perfectly. The characters are very well
rounded and though there are only a few secondary characters you may have met
in book one; this is all about Tobias and Kyle, which is what I loved the most
about this story. No one trying to kill them or cause pain to the pack. It is
about two people trying to figure out how to heal painful memories and maybe
make some new ones in the process. It was about Kyle trying to show Tobias that
he is fully committed to his mate, Tobias and that Tobias can and should put
away the darkness that has plagued him for years to let him find happiness and
joy in the holidays again.

AND YAMS
is a fun, sweet story that is best read in order of the series. Now I cannot
wait to see what happens next for Tobias and Kyle as well as their pack. I look
forward to seeing what this author will do next for these wonderful well
written characters and I highly recommend the series to anyone looking for
humor, sizzling passion and loads of action/adventure in their books.
