Jaci Burton’s IGNITE ON CONTACT is a lovely contemporary romance that is sure to ignite the appetite of romance fans who enjoy a little fire, firefighter that is, in their story.
Firefighter Rafe Donovan has always avoided long term relationships. He enjoys women, but makes sure all his dates know from the beginning that he is simply out for fun. Next door neighbor, Carmen Lewis, is a busy ER nurse who takes care of her aging grandfather when she isn’t working. She has been burned by love in the past and simply has no time or inclination to ever go there again. But that doesn’t stop her from fantasizing about her oh so hot neighbor.
Jaci Burton has a really beautiful writing style that pulls readers into her books seemingly effortlessly. IGNITE ON CONTACT is a slowly building, constantly escalating contemporary romance. The two main characters are both hardworking, down to earth people with a penchant for wanting to help their fellow man. So it is no surprise that when Rafe decides to set his sights on Carmen, sparks fly between these two stubborn characters. The more Rafe and Carmen discover about each other, the deeper they start to fall.
Though there are very few surprises in IGNITE ON CONTACT. However, Ms. Burton’s writing style and the simplicity of the love story prove the saying, “Where there is smoke…”
