Pregnant and stranded on the side of the road Mariana does not know what to do when a scary looking biker stops to help her. After a humiliating phone call with her ex-boyfriend Mariana has no choice but to accept Thorn’s help. The help that she gets is far from what she expects. Thorn and his friends are much more than her slimeball ex could ever try to be. Yet Mariana knows too well what heartache feels like and is wary about giving her heart away once more. Thorn is determined to keep Mariana safe and to break down the walls she has built around her heart. When danger comes calling Thorn is more than ready and eager to take it on and prove to Mariana, she is safest with him.

Mariana and Thorn’s story is an interesting one. Mariana is a strong woman who goes through so much but survives. It was nice to see her grow as she spends more time with Thorn. The two make a good couple and the love that they have shines through. Seeing the members rally around Mariana and Thorn made for a nice read. As much as I found the storyline and interesting one, I did not really connect with the characters. I would have liked to see the characters a little more fleshed out and given more depth to their personalities. Even with that many of the supporting characters grabbed my attention and I would like to see more on them. This story moves along quickly and does contain some graphic sex and violence.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
