Rory’s life changes in an instant. One minute he is with his friends on
vacation and the next all Hell breaks out. Life on Earth is forever changed and
it seems it all has something to do with Rory and he has no idea how to fix it.
As Rory tries to survive, he comes across all kinds of different monsters. One
day he comes across a monster who may not be a monster after all. Inkiri comes
along just when Rory needs him the most and the two must find a way to figure
out what has happened and how to fix it.
The author has built an interesting world with engaging characters. I enjoyed seeing Rory and Inkiri find their way. The two are good together and it was nice to see Rory start to grow with the Inkiri’s support. As the two work on figuring out how they fit together Rory must find out how he fits into what has happened to the world. Alongside the main couple we are introduced to strong supporting characters. Each of the monsters working with Inkiri have their own personalities that draw you in. Their story moves at a good pace and has a nice mix of humor and adventure as well as a nice romance. I enjoyed the banter between the characters and the way they try to understand humans and I am eager to see what Rory and his new friends find.
This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
