As Rory spends more time with Inkiri and the others their bond grows. Rory has
left Earth and all he knows behind to find a place of refuge and safety. Yet it
seems the evil that began it all is still in search of Rory and what it is that
he can do. Rory and his new family work hard to figure out what is happening
with Rory and what makes him so special. They have travelled to another world
where Rory hopes to find peace. Sooner than they would like the men’s peaceful
visit is interrupted and Rory must fight to save those that he holds dear.
Each new book in this story endears Rory and his men a little more to me. I
enjoyed seeing the bond grow and flourish between Rory and Inkiri. Seeing everyone
interact and begin to bond with Rory made for a nice read. The banter between
Rory and Vergis only gets better. The two are learning to become friends and we
see a deepening understanding between the two. It was nice to see Rory growing
and beginning to find himself and to understand his feelings for all the so
called monsters that he is attached to. Rory is learning that Inkiri and his
kind may look scary but they are not the monsters to be afraid of. The author
has woven a wonderous world with this series and each book has me excited to
see what will happen next in this fight for Earth.
