For a Review Request

Love Romances and More generally accepts requests for review from publishers through liaisons as noted below. If you do not see your publisher, for traditional publishers, please contact Gina (ginalrmeviews @ gmail.com). If you are self-published please contact Angie (angie @ angieonline.net). If you have a liaison listed your publisher is already sending requests so there is no need to duplicate their efforts.

If sending in a review request, please make sure that the following information is included in your request:

Title
Author name
Series name/number if applicable
Publisher
Genre

If this is not included, your request will not be forwarded to the review staff. Do not send review copies until/unless we contact you for a review copy.

From our inception Love Romances and More has had the highest standards in our reviews with a minimum word count and a 50/50 break down between critique and synopsis. Our ratings are formed as follows:

5 Hearts - a book that we will indeed read again and again. The book that is so memorable that after one reading, we simply cannot wait to read it again. These are generally rare ratings.

4 Hearts - a book that is memorable and when we get through everything on our TBR we hope to read it again. The characters stay with us, the setting entices us and we are sad that more likely than not we won't be able to read it again.

3 Hearts - where most of our reviews objectively reside. These are good books, enjoyable reads, interesting characters but with so many books and so little time more likely than not they won't be read again. While every author hopes and believes his or her book is a 5 and no less, with so many good books out there, a 3 is not a bad rating, it is merely average.

2 Hearts - the book had potential, it was an okay read, but nothing special. Editing may have fallen by the wayside, the blurb didn't track with the story or an expectation was created but not delivered.

1 Heart - the book was a struggle to read, it just did not work and we wish the author well in his or her next endeaver.

A note about our 1's and most 2's -- before they are posted to the site they are run by either our owner or a senior editor to ensure that the rating is solidly backed up. That the critique is fair, professionally and kindly stated. An editor also carefully goes over the review. When we can, we ask another reviewer to also read the book so see if the critique is accurate to our standards.

By the same token, we will look over the 5's to ensure they are backed up with their evaluation and not merely handed out for an enjoyable read.

We stand by our reviews and our review staff.
