Phillip is a Chipmunk shifter working for a dentist for the paranormal. He grew up with his twenty brothers and sisters, in a secluded and protected place. He studied online and has a bit of a hard time adjusting to living in a busy shifter town. He works for Dr. Gunner Samuels, a wolf shifter.

Phillips has a major crush on Gunner but has done nothing about it. Gunner knows Phillip is shy and hesitant, so he gives Phillip time to adjust.Gunner likes Phillip a lot, but because Phillip is ten years younger and needs to be on his own first, he waits to tell him.
With a little help from Phillips best friend, Beauregard, Gunner is invited over for a roast dinner. But Phillip is a vegetarian who can’t cook. So he and his friend have to figure something out. This leads to funny situations with a lion shifter butcher and an awkward date.

The blurb of the book made me think this would be a hilarious story and the beginning was very promising. Yet after the first few funny scenes it didn’t deliver what it had promised.
There were a couple of funnier bits, but it was nowhere as funny as the beginning. Gunner is a sweet man and Phillip is, slightly high strung, but adorable.

The story is very short and I had the feeling lots of things could’ve been worked out a lot better. Still it was a nice read. Not bad at all, just not as hilarious as I thought it would be. The different POV’s are nicely done, and I like how you get an insight in both men.
It was a good novella, just not great.

Caleb Deering and Nico Caro have known each other since they were ten. They fort kissed when they were twelve and have been together ever since. They love each other deeply and unconditionally.

Caleb knows that Nico’s father beats him on a regular basis. He tries to help Nico as much as he can, but he can only do so much.

Nico is small and slender, kind of pretty. His boyfriend Caleb is his opposite and he feels insecure and a bit inferior about himself. Caleb however adores him.

Then one day, someone sees them kissing at school and all hell breaks loose. Caleb and Nico’s dad’s are asked to come to school and after a talk with the principal Nico gets dragged off by his father. Nico ends up in the hospital and Caleb knows he needs to take action, now.

This story is told in flash backs, so you get to read the boy’s entire history together. They are the sweetest and most loving boys ever. Even though they are both insecure at times, Caleb mostly because of his young age.

Nico is another case. His father beats him so often and talks in a way that the boy has no self-esteem anymore. Luckily he has a doting boyfriend who takes care of him as much as possible.

The story about their first meeting, first kiss and first sexual experience is such a romantic one, so innocent and sweet. It makes the awful abuse bearable for the reader.

I personally loved this book. I would read it again and again, so yes definitely a must read. Only thing wrong with it, is that it was way too short. I wanted it to never end.

When Cameron and Bobby first meet they instantly know they are mates, but Cameron had always wanted a wife and children. He rejects Bobby, but regrets it very soon after. When Cameron pulls a little stunt at a pack barbecue, Bobby comes after him and they make out. Bobby feels he pressured Cameron into it and runs, leaving Cameron confused and wanting.

Cameron follows him as soon as he has permission to go but something is going on inside his body. He finds Bobby and they mate under strange circumstances. Not long after their mating they hear a noise.

The noise turns out to be a very young boy who’s going through his first shift. Something isn’t right with this and Bobby and Cameron take the boy home to the pack. It turns out that it’s again the work of the evil stepfather of Charlie. The pack rescues the other children who are in the same home and take them in.

In an argument Bobby says some things that hurt Cameron. Another strange thing happens to Cameron and their mating is on the line. Again Michealson’s work makes their lives difficult.
To me this book was the best one so far in this series. I loved all the strange things that seem to happen. I am glad though that it all gets explained properly in this book, because I would have been too curious to wait for it.

Bobby and Cameron have a very complex relationship. It’s wonderful to read how they struggle with a lot of things but their love is so obvious in all the inner turmoil, their actions and their thoughts.

The pain inside Cameron is so wonderfully written, my heart ached and my eyes watered. It doesn’t make sense, yet it so does. Bobby’s reaction is also heartbreaking. The secondary story line with the children and Michealson keeps me intrigued. So all in all a very good read.
