Welcome to Tracy Cooper-Posey's guest blog!

Celebrate the Internet Today...and Eyes of A Stranger.

It seems appropriate to me that exactly 17 years ago today, the World Wide Web was born – although I’ll slip past the fact that it was invented in a nuclear research laboratory with my head averted.*

The reason I find this cutely ironic is that today Love Romances are allowing me to celebrate the launch of Eyes of a Stranger*, which is published by Cerridwen Press*. It’s an Emma Darcy Award winning contemporary romance that Romantic Times gave a 4-star review and said that “the emotions [she] wrung out of her characters were enough for me to keep turning pages to the very end.”

I guess that’s a fair description of the hell I put the hero through. David comes home to Seattle from three hard years work setting up a business in China, and meets a woman. Not just any woman, but the woman. The one that makes his heart stand still and his soul to break with one look into her eyes. Then he discovers she’s engaged...to his best friend.

You can get a sneak peak at the first chapter right now if you click on this link here.*(eyes link)

Which brings me right back to the conveniences of the web. Without the web, we wouldn’t be here. You wouldn’t be reading this. I wouldn’t have reason to write it. And I certainly wouldn’t have had a venue to publish the book.

Here’s another scary thought (for me): Without the Internet, I wouldn’t have met my husband. Hmmmm…..

I wouldn’t have moved to Canada twelve years ago, either. I wouldn’t have met dozens of readers and authors at the six or so Romantic Times conventions* I’ve attended over the years, or the hundreds of authors and readers I know on-line.

There’s a huge part of my life lived in cyberspace, because that’s where my friends are – friends that have the same interests as me, that share my passions and allow me to vent. And thanks to cyberspace, I’m still in contact with friends and family back in Australia, too.

How about you? How has your life been changed by the Internet?
