Derrick Delaney is really good at what he does. He lives the good life, has money, enjoys his profession as a high class stripper and has his life mapped out just so. He just never anticipated having falling in love with one of the hottest rock stars out there or finding that sometimes, life has a way of making a mess of a mapped out life.

Author Sammy Jo Hunt delivers another wild ride in her latest release, DEAL WITH THE DEVIL and man, the readers are in for a treat. This is one high octane ride from start to finish and I have to admit, I was muttering under my breath at the characters. You will laugh, cry, sigh and fall in love with them as I did and I got to admit, I absolutely adore Derrick and Scott together. They just worked perfectly together and I was rooting for them to have their own happily ever after.

Ms. Hunt delivers a story of two people who find they are perfect for one another but secrets and lies come between them as well as miscommunication between the two had me on the edge of my seat. There were times I wanted to smack these two for being idiots and to communicate with one another, instead of assuming stuff. The author does a great job in conveying the emotions of Scott and Derrick as well as the secondary characters. I really enjoyed the dynamics between Scott, Derrick and several secondary characters that it had me flipping the pages on my nook just to see what would happen next. The characters are enjoyable, intriguing and very well written. I could see them walking down the street and enjoying themselves. The secondary characters help keep the story moving nicely and I enjoyed meeting some of Scott’s friends and band mates. The writing is tight, story flows nicely and the reader is given a treat of two people finding that life has a way of taking turns that you least expect.

DEAL WITH THE DEVIL is a perfect way to heat up a winter’s evening. It had the right amount of simmering sexual tension, passion and more to keep you toasty warm. I do recommend you keep a cold drink nearby to cool off a little afterwards. Ms. Hunt has a knack at keeping the temperature on simmer till the very end. I can’t wait to see what this author has next for her readers.

CHASING THE DREAM is a series of stories that have one thing in common-dreams. They can be dream lovers, dreams of riches, families or other things. These five authors deliver an anthology that left me spellbound till the very end. Each author has wonderful stories that will tease and tantalize you as you eagerly flip the pages for more. The writing is tight, the sex smoking hot and the storylines flow smoothly. I loved each story and fell a little bit in love with all the characters in this book. There was no one or two people that stole my heart. It was equally the entire cast of characters within this anthology that stole their way into my heart. Each story was wonderfully written, kept my attention and left me wondering-will these authors write longer stories featuring these characters? I am hoping they will in the future.

The characters, although in a short story, are well rounded, multi-dimensional and definitely capture your attention just from their sheer magnetism once they get on the pages. I loved how each of the stories couples’ worked through issues quickly though at times I did want to smack some sense in a few of them just for being stubborn hot heads.

CHASING THE DREAM anthology starts strong and continues to stay strong with stories that deliver emotions, sexual tension and a love that is meant to be. I loved each and every story and hope these five authors get together again for another project. I can attest that once you start this anthology, you won’t want to put it down….not even to eat dinner or sleep. I can’t wait to see what else these authors have in store for their readers individually.
