Skylar has been hiding from her ex-boyfriend’s parents for four years. Now she finds herself running her family’s ranch, hoping it will be a safe place for her and her daughter. If she could just get along the foreman, Cooper Yates.

Cooper has a chip on his shoulder for good reason. And he definitely does not like Skylar. But he has to either work with her or move on. The High Five has been his home for years and he doesn’t want to leave. Will they learn to work together without wanting to kill each other?

LOVED this book! I remember reading the story of one of Skylar’s sisters as well so most of the characters were known and familiar, but this is a completely stand alone book.

Author Linda Warren has penned a book with some life lessons that our main couple must learn in order to grow as people. Ms Warren talks about Sky’s spoiled little rich girl past and how much she has grown up in the past few years since she has had the sole responsibility of keeping her daughter safe and healthy. I always enjoy a heroine who grows and comes into her own. Cooper is a man who has to fight past demons and learn to not let them define who he is. At first I thought he was a jerk, and he was. But we soon learn that he has had some hard knocks in his life. It is just time he learned to not let the past claim his future.

Sky and Cooper have stimulating chemistry that is apparent from the beginning. This is a couple worth cheering on and wishing only the best for. SKYLAR’S OUTLAW is a great read and one that Harlequin fans should not miss.

Madison Belle has decided to make the best of running her family’s ranch. It is a quiet and lonely business, but someone has got to do it. But her quiet life is about to be shaken up. She finds some children hiding in her barn, running away from a father they feel does not understand them. Now Madison has to deal with this rough, yet tenderhearted man.

Walker has enough going on in his life as a single father and law officer of a small Texas town. He does not need a woman complicating things. And Madison is nothing but complicated. But soon, that isn’t the only complication in his life. Will this new situation ruin the budding romance between these two?

This book had some interesting twists and turns that kept me turning the pages. There are characters that the reader can really sink their teeth into. One is the young and pregnant Ginny. She is a teen with a terrible home life. I could only hope that as the area’s law, Walker could protect this poor girl.

Walker’s own daughter came across as a spoiled little brat. However, as we delve deeper into MADISON’S CHILDREN we soon learn why she behaves the way she does. And soon my heart was going out to this child as well.

Author Linda Warren does a remarkable job in telling this story and I was not disappointed when I turned the very last page. The story flows smoothly, moving for scene to scene flawlessly. It is clear that Ms Warren has done a wonderful job polishing her craft. So don’t hesitate in purchasing this book. Enjoy.

The first book in popular Western Romance author, Linda Warren’s Belles of Texas series, CAITLYN’S PRIZE, is a wild emotional ride worth taking.

Upon the death of her father, Caitlyn Belle returns to the family home to Texas to find her ex-fiancĂ©, Judd Calhoun, on the brink of taking over the Belle family ranch. After Caitlyn jilted Judd fourteen years ago before their wedding, Judd is eager for a little payback and now that her father’s gambling debts have forced him into an arrangement with Judd, it appears that he just might get that long awaited payback.

Linda Warren has gifted Harlequin Super Romances with another heart wrenchingly beautiful western romance in CAITLYN’S PRIZE. This reader admits that it has been some time since she has picked up a Harlequin book and forgot how emotional these wonderful books can be. Caitlyn is a strong and determined heroine. She thinks Judd only wants to marry her to control the ranch. Judd can’t believe Caitlyn hasn’t come to her senses and come back to marry him. Judd is stubborn and somewhat emotionally stinted. Their courtship may be rocky, but it is also definitely heated. CAITLYN’S PRIZE is one wild ride of romance.

Although readers know these two will eventually get their happy ending, the emotional journey Caitlyn and Judd must travel to get there is both painful and sweet at the same time. If you are in the mood for an old fashioned two-hanky western romance, then Linda Warren’s CAITLYN’S PRIZE is most definitely the book for you.
