Claire’s high school flame was Dean and when at eighteen they found themselves going to be parents, they did what they felt was right and got married. Claire’s parents disowned her while Dean’s mom stood by them and helped them get on their feet. Claire nor Dean have ever regretted their decision to be together and raise their daughter, but when twenty-five years later she decides to get her college degree, she gets the shock of her life and doesn’t know how to deal with her mid-life pregnancy.
Claire isn’t sure she can deal with another baby. She is finally reaching for her own dream to go to school to be a teacher. Coming to terms with her pregnancy means she has to confront her own fears, dreams and her future before she can be happy. Not to mention telling her family, friends, and especially her adult daughters about the baby.
Harlequin’s Super Romance line has out done itself once again with Linda Warren’s addition to the Everlasting Love line. ALWAYS A MOTHER is an emotional novel that every woman should read. It comes packed with drama, truths and emotional secrets that might be better left in the closet. Ms. Warren is a talented writer, but this novel brings her up even further on this reader’s favorite author list!
Claire and Dean and the wonderful main characters; she is the focus, but he is the rock that has stood by her through the tests of time. They have not had an easy life, but what they bring to readers’ hearts is love, and how it can withstand even the roughest tests. True love is hard to find, but these two come alive and feel real as they jump from the pages into the minds and hearts of readers.
This reviewer highly recommends this novel to all women who are dealing with mid-life, and those who fear the future. All women who enjoy happily ever after tales with real life situations will enjoy this month’s Everlasting Love novel.
