Rafferty Powell is determined to win this last battle with his enemy, Magnus Montmorency but he never anticipates to finding the one woman whose desire to end Magnus’s downfall even more than him –plus she ignites his firestorm. Melissa Smith is determined to live life to it’s fullest, living without fear and she is determined to get back at the one man who made her friend’s last few minutes on earth hell. She never anticipates finding a man who enthralls her just as much as she intrigues him. Can Melissa and Rafferty find a way to bring Magnus down while getting through the legendary darkfire, a force so powerful; it will test and remake everything in its path?

Deborah Cooke delivers a spellbinding story filled with revenge, mystery, legends and a love worth fighting for. DARKFIRE KISS is one action packed ride from start to finish and Ms. Cooke delivers a story worthy of re-reading over and over again. The storyline flows swiftly, a few twists kept me on the edge of my seat and the characters are to die for. I got to admit Rafferty is one of my favorite Pyr characters in the Dragonfire series and I loved how Melissa challenges him as well as softens his edges. She is the perfect foil to this alpha dragon in many ways.

Meet Rafferty Powell. He is a man who helped his fellow Pyr, to embrace their firestorms and has waited patiently for his own firestorm to arrive. He just never anticipated it being in this sexy package or that she has just as good reasons to want Magnus’s downfall as well. Rafferty is a character that hooked me right from the beginning of the series. He is sexy as sin, patient and wise and more all wrapped up in one sexy package. The sparks flew when these two meet and from that moment on, I was rooting for these two to find a happily ever after.

DARKFIRE KISS has to be one of this author’s best dragonfire novels to date and frankly, I can’t wait to see what is next in this thrilling series. Ms. Cooke delivers a wild ride from start to finish and the readers won’t be disappointed in Rafferty’s book. There is action, suspense and more…it hits all my love buttons while I read DARKFIRE.

If you love sexy alpha dragons, women who can go toe to toe with them and a story filled with passion, mystery and more then I highly recommend Ms. Cooke’s Dragonfire series to enjoy this winter.

Niall Talbot is determined to wipe out the remaining shadow dragons before they can do more harm. He wants to avenge his twin brother’s death and this mission is not just dangerous but just as personal for Niall.

Rox is a tattoo artist and believes the world can be more beautiful. She is unconventional, unafraid and a free spirit, one person who doesn’t flinch when she meets Niall on her doorstep. A dragon shape-shifter? Who cares? She follows her heart and her heart is leading her to the one man who can give her the moon and more with just a touch. But Niall doesn’t have time for the firestorm between them but destiny has a way of making you see just what is important to you. Revenge or the love you have with your chosen mate?

WHISPER KISS is Niall’s story and in this we find him on a quest to destroy the shadow dragons, the ones who killed his twim brother and he is determined to see them obliterated. He doesn’t have time for the firestorm that ignites when he meets Rox for the first time. She is someone Niall can love, care for and though he tries to not make her important in his mind, when she is in danger, all his repressed feelings for Rox come out in a flash. The sparks fly in this one when Niall and Rox come together on the pages of WHISPER KISS. Sexy, action packed and engrossing, Ms. Cooke delivers a spellbinding story from start to finish. I was eager to see what happens next after Niall finds his mate in Rox. She is his opposite in every way but she is the perfect partner for him. She calms him, stirs his every emotion and steals his heart. These two are just right for one another and the reader falls more in love with them with each passing page of WHISPER KISS.

Ms. Cooke delivers another wild ride in WHISPER KISS and I couldn’t put it down. The story flow swiftly, the sparks fly between Niall and Rox and the few twists in the story had me gasping in disbelief. The love between Niall and Rox is unbreakable, undeniable and so perfect to behold. You get tears in your eyes from it all. Niall’s dedication to the Pyr, his love for Rox and more drew me in, captured my heart and gave me a wonderful story to fall in love with.

I am eager to see who is next to fall for their firestorm in this enthralling series. Run-don’t walk-to grab WHISPER KISS and all the rest of the dragonfire novels. You won’t be disappointed with these dragon shifters. They are pure alpha males who find their edges softened when they find their fated mates.

Zoë Sorensson is tired of lying to her friends and keeping secrets about her other life is getting complicated as she approaches her sixteenth birthday. Being part of two worlds is harder than she anticipated and as a result, her once strong friendship with Meagan is fracturing as Meagan knows Zoë is hiding something from her and is frustrated that her best friend won’t tell her anything. Add in her rocker crush ignoring her and her parents’ marriage is on the rocks, all Zoe wants is her birthday to be just one normal day. For Zoe, she just might not get that normal day after all when the Mage’s set their sights on her and if she doesn’t stop them then all is lost.

Deborah Cookeis a masterful storyteller and in this second book in her young adult spin-off, The Dragon Diaries, she delivers more adventure for teenage Zoe, a rare Wyvern, a female dragon shifter with special powers. With her powers still MIA, all Zoe wants is one normal day, where she isn’t fighting mages, lying to her best friend or trying to fit in two worlds. What Zoe gets instead is something much more and just as deadly. I love Deborah Cooke’s writing style and this is one action packed sequel to Flying Blind. I loved Zoe in the first book and in this second one, readers find that the world of the pyr is larger and there are different species introduced in this book that had me intrigued. I loved the dynamics between Zoe and everyone around her. The character development is wonderful. They grow along with the storyline and you really felt like they could step outside the pages and into your house.

WINGING IT continues Zoe’s adventures as she anxiously await the appearance of her special powers and trying to navigate two worlds is wearing on her. With both sides trying their hardest to make her give the other up, Zoie feels caught in the middle. I loved we got to know Zoe’s best friend Meagan better. She played a bigger role in this story than in the first book. You could tell Zoe was dying to tell Meagan everything but can’t. The drama between those two plus some new additions to the secondary characters had me intrigued in what role they will play in the final book, Blazing the Trail.

WINGING IT is a fun, action-packed ride from start to finish., With her trademark writing style, Ms. Cooke delivers one adventure after another as Zoe deals with everything and she really steps up to the plate here. She is definitely one kick-butt heroine that I enjoy immensely, even if she is a teenager. If you are looking for a dragon shifter series to enjoy or need your fix of the Dragonfire world, then grab the books in the Dragon Diaries series. Ms. Cooke delivers another stellar story in the world of dragons and I am eager for the final chapter for Zoe. Will Zoe, her pyr friends and allies finally beat the mages? Can Zoe ever live comfortably in two worlds? Find out in The Dragon Diaries Trilogy and get ready for one entertaining ride.

This is an objective review.

Zoë Sorensson is as normal as she can get except when she is told she is also very special for she is a dragon shifter with special powers…but Zoë has no idea what those powers are so she is sent to a boot camp where nothing is as it seems. When Zoë finds out that the boot camp is just a front to destroy the Pyr, the dragon shifters, she knows she has to master her missing powers like now or else the Pyr will be eliminated forever, Zoë included.

I love Deborah Cooke’s Dragonfire novels and was intrigued to see she was doing a spin-off series centered on young adults. I wasn’t sure what I was going to get in all reality. Maybe a watered down version of her Dragonfire books but when I started FLYING BLIND, I was captivated by Zoë and the entire world of the pyr that she lives under. This is an author who took her beloved adult series world and made it her own in the young adult genre in The Dragon Diaries. The story is intriguing, filled with teenage drama, mysteries and an amazing cast of characters that steal your heart. By midway through FLYING BLIND, I could not put it down. I needed to know what would happen next for Zoë and her friends as well as the pyr.

What I loved the best about the introduction into the young adult spin-off was some of the adult characters had their own stories in the Dragonfire Series and I was thrilled to see them pop up, giving advice and helping guide Zoë and her friends. Lots of suspense, action-adventure and a bit of a romance that was unexpected. Zoe, for all intent and purposes, is still a teenager and one I loved completely. She was a perfect heroine to enjoy-strong and with just the right amount of vulnerability to make her human and there is a lot to her character that readers will enjoy immensely. This isn’t your average young adult book, that’s for sure. The writing was tight, story flowed smoothly and the characters were written so realistically, I expected to see them walking down the street or soaring above in the skies in their dragon forms.

FLYING BLIND is a wonderful way to be introduced into the Dragonfire world for new readers of this author to enjoying a pick-me-up while loyal readers wait for the next book in either her adult Dragonfire series or the Dragon Diaries series. This had the right amount of drama, action, suspense, humor and more that will please both adult fans and her new young adult fans. Deborah Cooke delivers one heck of a high octane ride in FLYING BLIND. Are you ready to explore the world of the pyr?
