This is a good collection of stories about dancing with the devil and paying your dues. You never know just who you will meet and just what a deal will end up being. Never strike a bargain with someone you do not know for if you do chances are you will regret everything. Each of these stories brings the reader into a wondrous world where nothing is what it seems, and nothing is easy.  You are treated to so many different men that you would not see as heroes yet that is what they seem to be. Fighting for what is right and fighting for survival is what they do.  You will travel back in time, visit Wonderland, visit the world of dreams, visit with monsters, find out just what harm a favor can do, and even the church is not left out. There is such a plethora of ideas in these stories you are bound to find one or more to your liking.

I really enjoyed each of these stories. As with any collections there were ones that I liked more but I think that all of these stories are good reads. The authors do a great job of weaving wondrous worlds that you can sink into and enjoy. Each and every story pulled me in so much that after it was over, I wanted more from the world and I hope that the authors take a chance again on these characters and give readers more from them. The characters and their worlds are well written, and the stories range from light hearted to intense. They are full of emotions and depth that endeared each one to this listener. This anthology is engaging, and narrator Greg Tremblay does a great job of making the audio book entertaining. His cadence throughout the stories is good and keeps the reader in the story and engaged.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.

Meet the cops who police Parmas City, where demons and other paranormal creatures live among the humans. Hell Cops protect them from the baddies and the three stories in HELL COP will keep you entertained from start to finish.

Meet Jay Yervant, a man whose skin literally will go to flame in an instant in Astrid Amara’s NEXT OF KIN. Lonely and racked with unfulfilled desire, Jay meets Brian and ends up with something so much more. Can this Hell Cop keep Brian safe from harm while trying to find out why some sorcerer wants Brian dead?
I loved the kick off to this wonderful anthology. NEXT OF KIN introduces the readers to Parmas City and the people who are residents there. With some intriguing characters and fast pace, I was caught up in NEXT OF KIN and loved how Jay and Brian interacted together. Very enjoyable read and it seamlessly went into the next story.

Next up in RED SANDS is Hell Cop Argent who is trying to solve a case and the prime suspect is one sexy anthropologist named Michael Gold. A half-demon, he expects trouble from the Hell Cops but Argent seems to intrigue him even more than usual. Is Argent out to solve the case or throw him in jail?

In RED SANDS we meet Hell Cop Argent, the strong alpha male, a cop who thinks his latest case is a slam dunk with the accused all but sewn up in a guilty plea until that is, he meets the sexy anthropologist. Michael Gold who is being framed. He has no idea why and by whom and on top of it all, he is a murder suspect. His day just can not get any worse. Oh god these two just had me glued to the seat of the couch. I loved how they played off each other and the sex was hot yet tender between the two.

Finally we meet Hell Cop Ben Moran in TOUCHING SPARKS. Photojournalist James Sparks finds himself with illegal drugs, blood and magic all rolled into one, he turns to Detective Moran for help. What they don’t anticipate is sparks flying and an instant attraction between them. When evidence to a cover upis discovered, can James keep Ben safe or will they lose everything they’ve found together?

TOUCHING SPARKS had me delighted as I watched a tough hardened cop find a love worth protecting and for James, being cherished by Ben was an eye opener. I highly enjoyed the way the author kept the pace fast and the reader engaged at all times.

HELL COP introduces the reader to a world of the paranormal among us and I enjoyed the way these authors kept your attention on the blooming love that grew between each couple. Add in some magic, blood, mysteries to boot and you get one rollicking good time. If you enjoy a paranormal anthology that will keep you entertained from start to finish, grab HELL COP. I am looking forward to the next edition of these hardened police officers in a paranormal world and the lovers they find among them.
