Gerard Gretton has reared a family and restored the family fortunes. He calls his adult children together and tells them he is leaving to search for the person he once loved and that, should they ever be fortunate enough to find love, to seize it.

Randall is grateful to be a younger son because his taste is for men, not women, and at this period of history such a taste is illegal. His chances of ever finding true love are tiny, but, in the meantime, his brother sets him to searching for a traitor to England.

Randall is a very engaging character with many layers and a nicely balanced mixture of self-confidence and insecurities. I also like the way the character of the oldest brother, Peregrine develops through this story. Jason is another complicated, multilayered person it’s a treat to get to know as the story unfolds.

Smugglers, spies, highwaymen and traitors are all standard fodder of stories from this era, and this book doesn’t disappoint in this area with a hefty dose of them all. The story is well-paced, alternating description and sex scenes with bursts of surprises and action. The bad guy in any particular scene is never the first person to come to the reader’s mind, but is not completely improbably either.

My only complaint with the book is a couple of places where the POV wobbled a bit.

I enjoyed this yarn, a great mix of plot, character and adventure, and a clever balance of the anticipated and the unexpected. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Author Lee Brazil delivers a wonderful follow up to Keeping House, book one in the Truth or Dare series. I loved seeing how all the Blakes’ are doing as well as their respective partners. Mr. Brazil delivers a wonderful story about choices, love, family and more all set around the holidays. Secrets, desires, dreams and more make up this heart warming story as Mischa and Donovan find out that dreams can become nightmares as well as change within the blink of an eye. The story is full of twists and turns that leave me itching for the next book by this wonderful author. The Truth or Dare series is one series I NEED to buy on release day. The characters are well written, with flaws and all & the stories are emotional yet also realistic as well.

Welcome back to the Blake Siblings poker game. Mischa Blake is tired, stressed out and running on fumes. Between taking care of a special needs child with his partner, he is trying to finish college so he can start a new job in the New Year as well as make sure his new foundation is off the ground. It doesn’t leave time for well, romance, sleep or anything else he used to have time for. Donovan is determined to make Mischa figure out where his priorities lie as he tries to shield their son from the hurt of Mischa’s absences. What I love about Mischa and Donovan is that they truly love one another but both need to figure out what works for them as a couple and as a person. With a special needs child, a man who is determined to be the bread winner regardless of his partners desire to help out money wise, can cause significant issues in a relationship. Mr. Brazil delivers those hurdles in a way that has the readers rooting for these two to overcome them in order to be together forever. A realistic portrayal of a couple overwhelmed by life that sometimes you need to stop and smell the roses, reassess those dreams and maybe see that sometimes your dreams may be the issue. The characters are well written-flaws and all, realistic and definitely some I would enjoy meeting in real life.

In DONOVAN’S DEAL, the reader is treated to some plot points for the other characters that leave you running to the author’s website for more details on future books. I know I was one of them after I finished this latest Truth or Dare story. Mr. Brazil is a talented storyteller who knows how to make a story come alive for his readers and with an unforgettable cast of characters, the reader can not help but fall in love with his work. Run-don’t walk-to grab this latest addition to the Truth or Dare series. I do recommend reading book one, Keeping House, first to see how Mischa and Donovan began.

Lee Brazil does a wonderful, sexy spin on the nursery rhyme, Simple Simon and does it in a way that is heartfelt and decidedly wicked at the same time. The story starts out with Simon, who has made a success of his life even as he dwells on what his friend and lover told him long ago, ‘that he had no ambition”. Determined to rub Chase’s nose into it, he devises a revenge plan that somehow does not go according to plan. Simon feels guilty after finally meeting Chase again and determined to show Chase he isn’t the boy he was, he finds himself falling for Chase all over again but past hurts have a way of coloring the present and for Simon, Chase hurt him deeply those years before.  I love the way Lee Brazil brings out the past relationship and what the characters are like now in the present. With the right amount of chemistry, love, confidence, compromise, love and hate, this is an author who delivers a very engaging story to fall in love with. The writing is tight, story flows nicely and the characters fairly jump off the page. This is an author who lets his characters take over and in the process, deliver a story that steals your heart in the end.

IT’S SIMPLE, SIMON is more than boy meets up with ex-boyfriend and falls into bed with them. It’s about letting past hurts heal, to forgiving even as you don’t want to and letting yourself see what you did to the other person and finding a way to fix it. Humor, sexy scenes that made me fan my face and a storyline that pulls at your heartstrings. Lee Brazil delivers a top notch retelling of a not so great nursery rhyme and gives it the heart it needs, in my opinion. If you enjoy a naughty twist your childhood nursery rhymes, then try IT’S SIMPLE, SIMON and settle in for an afternoon of reading pleasure. I can’t wait to see if this author does his own brand of storytelling on another nursery rhyme in the future.

Brandon Blake has raised his brother and yes, he is a quite a control freak. He freely admits it. But when he is forced to release said control over his life and by extension, his brother’s lives, he finds it harder than he expected. So after seeing Dr. Arden Grey, he tries to learn techniques to help him let go that control and in the process finds he is much calmer when he is with his therapist. Except Arden doesn’t want to be just his therapist anymore. She longs to show Brandon that giving up control isn’t something to be afraid of at all. When all is said & done, can these two people find a way to let the control they have hung on to and let their hearts guide them to the love just waiting to be grabbed?

When I first saw that the next Truth or Dare book was a heterosexual story, I was a little dismayed at first. I loved Keeping House and Telling the Truth (Books 1 &2 in series) and was intrigued to see if Brandon, the Blake siblings’ older brother would be able to find his own happily ever after. Lee Brazil delivers a story that is part sexy as sin and also heartwarming as well. With each page, I was drawn into this story, full of passion, control, and more. The author does an amazing job in creating two very strong willed characters who find that losing control with one another is the best thing they can do. The story dips, curves, tosses a few twists in and more and within a matter of a chapter or two, you are drawn into this world without you even knowing it.

Meet Brandon Blake. The Blake Siblings’ older brother, who promised his mother to take care of them and by god he did. He raised them, pushed them and meddled in their lives until the day they turned around and told him to knock it off. Then is when Brandon saw that being in control at all times isn’t quite a good thing. For one it can mess with your health. So meeting with therapist Dr. Arden Grey, Brandon hoped to find a way to let go of the control and breathe a little easier. When I first met Brandon, I was wondering if he would ever lighten up. When I saw his story was next I was intrigued to see what Mr. Brazil would put him through. Even though this is a heterosexual (M/F) story, it worked perfectly in the series. Brandon Blake is the oldest brother, the one who raised his siblings after his mother’s death and has put a lot of responsibilities on his shoulders-even when he doesn’t need to. He meddles in his brother’s lives like all older siblings do and I found that when he learned to relax, let someone else take charge, Brandon was an enjoyable gent. The secondary characters keep the story flowing nicely and I loved seeing the rest of the Blake Brothers plus meeting Arden’s brother and secretary.

GIVING UP is a wonderful addition to the Truth or Dare series and Lee Brazil does a wonderful job in giving this Blake brother a woman who can make Brandon relax, enjoy life and not worry too much about everything he cannot control. Lee Brazil does an amazing job in creating this story and I am eager to see what the other Blake brothers, who didn’t get a dare, will do when they are next in Truth or Dare. If you enjoy stories that are strong on family, love and maybe a little risqué on the side, then grab Lee Brazil’s Truth or Dare series. Each one is like a decadent piece of Belgian chocolate that melts in your mouth and leaves you reaching for more.

Luke Leveraux is an artist, and wealthy enough to paint full-time. He'd been attracted to Jeremy for months, before Jeremy moved in with him.

Jeremy St James is an art teacher and they are perfect for each other in so many ways. But every month Luke goes off on a hunting trip and he's never once invited Jeremy to come with him. They get on so well together, understand each other and fit together perfectly. Or maybe not.

This is an excellent story, well crafted with a nice, tight plot and fully rounded main characters. Luke is tormented by his secret, and the reader follows his agonies and decisions, understanding why he acts the way he does, and worrying that the situation can't be resolved in a good way. Yet we are fully alongside Jeremy too, feeling all his emotions and hurts, yet, once again, unable to see clearly what he should do.

There are two nice twists to the plot. One comes at the very end of the book and is a brilliant hook. I'm already looking forward to book two in this series. I assume there will be a book two. There'd better be a book two! The other twist was sort of foreseeable, but was handled very well indeed and I definitely enjoyed the way it unfolded.

As well as great characters and a well written plot with some nice twists, there was also plenty of hot male/male sex scenes, and some sparkling dialogue, including a couple of truly memorable lines. All up, an excellent book, well worth reading.

Morgan Hawke was just fine with the way his relationship with Dan Blake was going. He enjoyed the little getaways, sneaking time in for one another in the shadows and didn’t feel anything had to change. Until Dan decided he wanted, needed more from Morgan than what he was getting. Granted the sex was hot and Morgan always felt relaxed around Dan but then Dan ups and tells him that he isn’t happy with how things are going and that he wants to go public with their relationship. Morgan finds out that when a Blake puts his mind to it, things change regardless of what the fall out is. For Morgan has to make a choice-love in the open with Dan or an empty life without him.

Lee Brazil has a unique way of creating characters that leave you spellbound until the end. With the right amount of angst, sizzling sexual chemistry and a few twists I didn’t see, TAKING THE DARE delivers a story of two people who have to fight for what they desire in themselves and with one another. I have to warn you though, TAKING THE DARE is a different type of story than readers may like. For one, both characters have issues, flaws and more that this author brings out with no punches pulled. These two characters are flawed in every sense of the word. Dan is manipulative, vulnerable and lost; Morgan a user and a cheater. You shouldn’t root for them or want them to find their own HEA but Lee Brazil does the impossible and he makes them likable after you see how these two got together. With each stroke of his keyboard, this author delivers two very life-like, flawed human beings who love one another yet struggle to make that ultimate decision for the sake of themselves and their relationship.

The story flows with ebbs and waves like an ocean and the reader is given a glimpse into the man Dan is behind the manipulative persona he gives the world. The one longing to have a love like his brothers have found. That one person to show Dan he is their number one person in their life-not the man who can give things to people, like jobs, a quick roll in the hay or a door open in Hollywood. The way this author delivers the hidden nuances with these two, left me reeling. I kept giving myself permission to hate Dan and Morgan but within a chapter or two I found myself hoping against hope that they got their own happily ever after.

TAKING THE DARE is more of two people announcing that “hey world, look at us, we are a couple.” It’s about two people letting go of their past, their fears and letting them trust in their hearts, that it would lead them to the one person they need in their life without fail. That one person they could count on, love with abandon and enjoy just being themselves with. Lee Brazil has taken the story of Dan Blake in TAKING THE DARE and turned it into a story that will steal your heart. But be warned, if you have issues with open marriages or cheating, you may not find this appealing to you but I urge you to read Dan and Morgan’s story with an open mind and heart. What may work for one couple may not work for another.

TAKING THE DARE is a wonderful sweet story that delivered a hard punch mid-way through with a twist I didn’t see coming. This author delivers a strong storyline for readers to enjoy with wonderful characters that leave you wondering if they really exist. I can’t wait to see what else this author has in store in the Truth or Dare series.

Terry Blake has done what his older brother wanted. Now hot and bothered, Terry has a choice to make when he is dared to divulge his darkest fantasies, Terry finds the strength to give voice to what he needs and desire. Now the question is can Terry find the strength to go after what he wants-namely a relationship with Trick and Dex?

Lee Brazil has a unique story here in his Blake brothers’ series, Truth or Dare. Though it may not appeal to some people (i.e. twincest), the way this author writes Trick and Dex’s back-story, the reader gets to see the love they have for one another and the desire for a third to make their life complete. The story is funny, charming and smoking hot at times. Some pages had me fanning myself to cool down, it was that hot but the simmering sexual tension in the beginning between these three…well lets just say I was hoping my e-reader wouldn’t burst into flames. Lee Brazil is a talented author who knows how to create a story and let the characters voices shine through. This is the true talent of an author in my humble opinion when the author can show the reader those hidden depths of their characters and let the reader fall in love with them.

Meet Terry Blake. Six months ago, he thought he was straight-dating a hot actress and working at the family business, Blake Productions. But since then he has finally let himself see what was trying to get out-Terry liked men and seeing two hot sexy guys at Mischa’s party one day cemented it. For six months he dreamed, lusted and longed for those two twins yet was also hesitant in getting involved. Terry has to choose in finding the love he needs and desires with the twins or walking away from the two people who can complete him. I got to hand it to Mr. Brazil, I normally do not read twincest stories but this one charmed me since I met the twins, Trick and Dex, in Keeping House (book 1), of the series. I was thrilled to learn more about them and enjoyed them very much. I felt empathy over their fear of rejection and hoped Terry would help these two find the love they longed for. The secondary characters helped move the story along nicely and I loved the ending though it left many unanswered questions as well that I hope the author answers in future books.

TELLING THE TRUTH is more than a story of one man coming to grip with his sexuality but also of taking the chance of being with the people he knows complete him-heart, body and soul. Lee Brazil’s Truth or Dare series is a hit with this reader for he gives the brothers different personas that seem to mesh really well within the series. If you enjoy a heartfelt story with some seriously smoking hot scenes then you will enjoy TELLING THE TRUTH. I can’t wait to see what Blake brother is next and what this author has in store for them.

Lee Brazil is a talented storyteller. One that has this readers going “OH MY GOD!” with each story he pens. LOVING JACOB is more than a man meets man, falls in love, sort of story. It’s one where two people have to find their way in a relationship that started out as lust and passion and turns to love even as their relationship becomes more complicated than both anticipate. Lee Brazil does a wonderful job creating flawed, enjoyable characters that the reader falls in love with. Both Malcolm and Jacob have issues that eventually come out to the reader that makes them relatable to me. The story is fast paced and the writing is tight. This is Lee Brazil in his storytelling glory.

Meet Malcolm Jenner. He did the correct thing and married Penny, had a son and has a career in law even though he knows he is gay. He has an arrangement with Penny-he can have his flings but be discreet. It works for Malcolm until he spies Jacob at the office and finds himself falling into lust with the younger man. Malcolm took a little to warm up to as a reader. He comes across as, at first, a man who gets what he wants but the fall out with Jacob in the story left me seeing him in new eyes. This author does a wonderful job in conveying Malcolm’s confusion, sorrow and anger-at himself, at others-within the pages of LOVING JACOB. Jacob is a young man who knows what he wants. He wants that fairytale relationship-Prince Charming, white picket fence and a loving relationship. He wanted Malcolm. Both wanted to change the other’s mind on what their relationship should be but sometimes love and life don’t always work the way you want it. Jacob was a bit naïve at times but he grew on me. I loved the dynamics between these two characters and the secondary characters helped give that storyline a little something extra.

LOVING JACOB is a powerful, emotional story that leaves you breathless in the end. It is more than a story of falling in love; it’s also about finding yourself even when you fall on dark times. This author does a fabulous job in creating a set of characters that steal your heart in every way. If you enjoy a beautiful told story that touches your every emotion, then I highly recommend LOVING JACOB by Lee Brazil. I am eager to see what else this author has in store for his readers in the future.

 If someone hasn't read any of your work,what book would you recommend that they start with and why?

I'd recommendstarting with Keeping House. I think it strikes the right notes, humor,romance, and fantasy. It is lighthearted, easy reading to while away an hour orso. 

Ifyou could entertain a character from a book, who would it be and what would theevening be like?

Hmmm...I'd invite Athos, of Dumas's The Three Musketeers, for anight of wine, stargazing and conversation. I always felt his was the most interestingcharacter of the four, you know?

What would you say is yourinteresting writing quirk?

I'm addicted toellipses.  I put them in everywhere andhave to edit them out before I send my manuscripts on to my editor.

What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?

Ummm...whileresearching for Giving Up, book three of the Truth or Dare series, I learnedthat some people name their toys. I didn't believe it at first, so I confirmedit with some friends in the Story Orgy, and they said it is indeed true.

Ifyou had a reporter follow you around for the day, what would the readers get tosee in your daily schedule? 

Huh.  Average day:

I get up at five, make and drink coffee, watch the sun come up,write, Facebook. Do household stuff, read, bake, and write some more. I playwith my cat and my dog, walk in the woods or in the spring and summer, garden.Most nights, I'm in bed by ten.

Whatdoes your workstation look like?

It's in my kitchen, because I bake when the characters aredisobedient. The ingredients pretty much always do what I say, the charactersnot so much. I have a desk with a printer and a desktop computer because I donot like lap tops. There's a shelf of reference books. It's all pretty neat,I’m kind of OCD about my desk space.

Areyou the type of individual who gets weepy at the end of a good movie, or a sadmovie, or do you just stay neutral through it all? 

Ummm... I don't cry at movies. Possibly because I don't actuallywatch very many that are tear worthy.  Welike action/adventure and comedy flicks.

What are you working on now?

Right now, I'mwriting a new contemporary romance, the 5^th book in my Truth or Dareseries. It's an m/m romance about Arden's brother and her secretary.

Lee Brazil introduces us to the Blake siblings in this first book of the Truth or Dare series, KEEPING HOUSE. It is also my first book that I have read from this author and if this is what his stories are, then he now has a fan for life. The writing flowed smoothly, the storyline was well written and the characters were absolutely wonderful. In my opinion, these characters are what make this story a perfect gem. They were unique, enjoyable and relatable. Who hasn’t had older siblings try to decide what you may do with your life and won’t listen to your plans for that said life? This author does a wonderful job creating realistic characters in a storyline that charmed me right from the beginning. I fell in love with the Blake brothers and frankly, couldn’t get enough of them. They literally stepped off the page and into my living room.

Meet Mischa Blake. He may be the youngest of the Blake siblings but he knows exactly how to annoy them too. Though they are well meaning, they can be a tad overbearing though even he wasn’t anticipating the sneak attack they cornered him in one night. Now Mischa has to work for a living and support himself without the trust fund to help out. Easy, right? Mischa was a character I loved right from page one. He was funny, charming and so enjoyable; I wanted to be friends with him in real life. The connection between Donovan and Mischa was realistic and quite combustible. The sex scenes were well written and didn’t take over the story at all; instead complimented the growing romance between Donovan and Mischa. The secondary characters were just as entertaining and I can’t wait to see them in future Truth or Dare books.

KEEPING HOUSE was a perfect weekend read by a new favorite author of mine. Lee Brazil delivers a sweetly told story of two opposites finding love with one another. If you are looking for a quick afternoon read, then try KEEPING HOUSE. I am eager to see who is next to fall in love in the next book and what else this author has to offer his readers.
