For mercenary Kate Daniels, life has been quiet lately and as the final battle looms between her and Roland, Kate finds she will have to make a deal with the devil as an ancient enemy of her family comes back and is hell bent on destroying not just Kate but her family, friends and Atlanta. The final battle looms as Roland edges closer to Kate’s territory. Can Kate save all that she holds dear or will she fall in a blaze of glory as her enemy’s circle around her?

The final book is here in a series I love so dang much. Ilona Andrews delivers a pulse pounding, action packed ride from start to finish and with the final book here, we see Kate and ex-Beast Lord, Curran try to marshal their allies as they face an enemy that they haven’t faced before, one that could end all of what Kate holds dear even as she also fights on another front as her father, Roland is determined to possess her son and take over the world. Poor Kate. All she wants to do is live peacefully with Curran and their son but alas, Kate has a reputation and with the final battle between her and Roland looming, let’s just say the readers get quite a thrill in MAGIC TRIUMPHS.

I loved the final book in this series. MAGIC TRIUMPHS deliver action, romance, twists and turns at every page that had me glued to the book that I read it in one day. This is by far the book readers have been waiting for. Kate and Curran’s romance is the core through the whole series as each character grows with each book, their love for one another has stayed constant between enemies trying to take them down, a father who is determined to get what he thinks is rightfully his and more. In MAGIC TRIUMPHS, two years have passed, and Kate is trying to keep Atlanta safe, raise her and Curran’s little boy who has his own scary and unique powers and try to learn everything she can about her powers from her aunt Erra. Add in Curran’s new powers are changing him and enemies who now must be allies. Ilona Andrews delivers so much packed within this final book, I can’t even think of how to describe it. Its full of returning characters that you grew to love (and hate), new ones that are so intriguing and we get to know more about Kate’s family’s past and what happened so long ago and more within these pages.

The authors deliver a story that will satisfy the readers as well as give Kate and Curran the ending they deserve but not without sacrifices. I won’t say too much on who dies, who leaves and more but suffice to say, your jaw will drop, and you will be stunned speechless. MAGIC TRIUMPHS deliver a story that will stay with you long after you have finished reading it. Its thrilling, emotional and downright captivating from start to finish. I laughed, I cried and then smiled in happiness as I closed the book. It is truly a book that will stay with you even as you sit in silence to absorb all the revelations and twists.

Thank you, Ilona Andrews, for creating a series that just got better with each book and for giving us, your readers, an ending that will steal your heart.

Wilson North learned the hard way that life is hard but best lived by those that have to try.  When an accident brings a new outlook on life Wilson must decide if he will fight for his mate or do nothing and let him slip from his grasp. Wilson realizes that even for vampire’s life can be short. He recognizes that his life before now has been wasted and he longs to have a real existence and a full life, but his mate has different plans. Garrick has his own problems to contend with. His misguided attempt to keep Wilson safe only leads to heartbreak. Can these two find a way to their happiness or has evil won before they have even begun?

Once again Lex Valentine weaves a powerful story.  I loved coming back to the Darkworld and visiting with its inhabitants. As this series has grown many of the characters have endeared themselves to this reader and it was nice to see more from them. When the time comes to fight Wilson finds that he is caught up in an ongoing battle but has many friends on his side. I loved seeing Wilson find his new look on life and love. Garrick is a good man, but he thinks that he must give up love to save the man he is destined to be with. Wilson is more than ready to prove him wrong, but will Garrick realize his mistake when all is said and done? These two make a great couple and I enjoyed watching their relationship take shape. Their love is strong, and we see it in everything that these two do.

Garrick and Wilson are strong characters full of depth. The author does a good job of bringing them to life and keeping this series fresh and engaging. I was pulled into this fast-moving story and hope that this series continues.

Sair has had a hard life. She had to grow up too quickly and chafes at her brother the alpha of their pack and his rules and decisions. When Weylyn and Keir come into her life Sair grabs the chance at happiness and returns with them to their homeland. There she finds a new-found freedom and a mate, but her mate is nothing like she imagined. Marius is a stuffy and brooding man, the total opposite of the freedom loving Sair. Can the two find a way to their happy ever after or will the two be destined to be alone forever?

I enjoyed watching Sair and Marius find their way. The two are on opposite ends of the spectrum and work hard to find a way towards each other. Sair is a strong woman who knows what she wants and after getting a taste of freedom she is hesitant to do something that she thinks will take that freedom away from her. Marius is so set in his ways he is not sure he will be able to do what Sair wants or be what she needs. The two make a great couple and soon find that love is worth fighting for and that compromise does not mean giving up who you are. It was nice to see Sair begin to come into her own and find her own voice with the help of her friends and the support of Marius.

It was also nice to see many of the other characters and how they interacted. Love and trust is strong in all the relationships. Not only did the main characters pull me in but many of the secondary characters had a lot to say. I was quickly engrossed in the story and am eagerly waiting to see what comes next in this series.

Nevada has come to the city of Vampiropolis for some relaxing fun. On her last few days she decides to finally do something on the wilder side of things and stop being just a tourist. She soon finds herself enjoying the night with Luc a local vampire. From the start there is an attraction between the two but will it last or is this truly a fling to look back on fondly? Can there be more to Nevada and Luc's fun or will the past keep the two from going forward?

This story is an interesting idea. A whole city run and mostly lived in by vampires who enjoy letting humans come and visit as tourist. Nevada is one human who comes to visit in search of something different and she finds it in Luc. It was nice to see the way the two begin their relationship. Their banter made for a good read.  The two are good together but soon misunderstandings get in the way and Nevada finds herself back home and alone. I liked Nevada. She is a strong and independent woman who can stand on her own. Luc is a good man he comes off as arrogant but underneath his facade we see his true self. It was nice to see Luc fight for what he wanted.  Luc and Nevada's attraction is strong and we see it grow into something much deeper and worth fighting for.

Not only did Luc and Nevada make an impression on this reader but many of the secondary characters did as well making this a well-rounded story. I am eager to return to Vampiropolis to enjoy more from the likes of Lida and Renato.
