The Most Beautiful, Princess Phillia, is a happy girl. The Beast Most Foul has chosen her and to be chosen by him, means she must be the most beautiful princess. Now she needs to wait until a handsome prince, or a brave knight comes to rescue her. That is traditional after all. Prince Charming needs a bride and who better than Princess Phillia, the Most Beautiful Princess in all the land. But he needs to rescue her from the Beast Most Foul who has her captured in a tower made of black glass. So off he goes and in the traditional manner, rescues his princess. Now he is ready for his traditional happy end, but will there be a happy end, let alone a traditional one?

I just adore these short little fairy tales that Ms. Woodrum has conjured up. They are very quick reads that are very wittily written and leave you gasping in surprise at the end. They are not erotic, but have the potential to be so. They certainly left me with some little fantasies of my own. In this story, all goes as tradition decrees, until....and I can’t tell you. You will have to pick this story up and I guarantee you won’t regret it, as it’s a bargain at the price. I do hope that Ms. Woodrum continues to write these little shorts. I could imagine them all in one printed volume with a title like: Not Your Mama’s Fairy Tales, or something like that. If you do read this one and the others, please comment on the blog and tell me how you liked them.

CLICK TO PURCHASE! The damsel has been tied up and is waiting for the dragon to come and carry her off. The Evil Dragon arrives to test the damsel, to see if she really is damsel material. She seems to be. She screams nicely, even faints. Yes, it seems as if she is a true, traditional damsel. The dragon is very happy that he is able to do his duty. But then, their meeting takes an unexpected turn and the dragon finds out that not everything is as it seems. There is something very wrong with this damsel and the dragon is very disappointed. The damsel also finds out that things are not as it seems and her traditional happy end may be a long time in coming.

This is a second story with the Twisted Fairytale theme and it’s another story that I am sure will delight its readers. I certainly enjoyed it and I do hope this talented author will write more of them. In this story you will be rooting for the damsel as she shows the dragon she is not quite what he expected. But you may just change your mind when things take a turn and a surprise twist takes the story on an unexpected path that made me gasp in surprise. This is an extremely short story and is perfect for a coffee break. I’m sure it will put you in a good mood for the rest of your day, it certainly did for mine. Go pick it up right now, it’s only a dollar!

CLICK TO PURCHASE! Yhnez and her tribe journey onwards, north, over barren waste. They follow the Moon Goddess as Yhnez has been united with her and is able to See what lies ahead. Yhnez is pulled by the Goddess in this direction, although great danger lies before them, the Goddess is ever faithful to protect them. On this journey the children learn and grow and discover that some have even more talents than was first thought. Yhnez shows her tribe that she is truly anointed by the Goddess. There are other tribes making their way in the same direction. A group of red-eyes are struggling against the elements. Sickness and bickering could prove to be their downfall. The verritaym’i are on their way too, causing death and destruction wherever they pass. If they meet up with Yhnez and her tribe of children, it could be the end of them.

G J Woodrum is truly a talented story teller of the epic fantasy. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and its scope and depth thrilled me. I especially liked that her characters all had their strengths and weaknesses, even Yhnez, who is touched by the Goddess makes mistakes. I found it very exciting reading about the journeys, trials and tribulations and victories of the Children of the Dessert Moon as well as the other characters that have been introduced to this story. This master story teller draws you into the story and you can imagine the heat, the sand, the despair, hunger and thirst that these characters endure. Then there is the viciousness of the verritaym’i. There is no holding back on the violence of this terrible race of beings who rage through the book. The children all become older, wiser and the awakenings of adult feelings are starting to surface. All this and more make for a wonderful read. If you enjoy epic fantasy and are tired of the Tolkien type fantasy, pick up this book and be ready for a truly wonderful time.

CLICK TO PURCHASE! All a Princess needs is a happily ever after, isn’t it? After all, it’s the traditional way. Princess Beauty is a captive. She’s just waiting for her Knight in Shining Armor to come and rescue her from the Tower of the Beast Most Foul. So far, all of her would-be-rescuers have been beaten by the Foul Beast, until one day a knight actually manages to rescue her and at last she can hope for her freedom. At last she can go back to her family. At last, she may even be claimed by the Knight in Shining Armor and be married. At last, a truly traditional happy every after may happen. It’s just that some traditions may have to be broken.

Everyone loves a fairy story, ever since they were young. I have always enjoyed having fairy tales read to me before I went to sleep. Well, dear reader, this is one fairy story you are not going to be reading to your children. G J Woodrum has planted her tongue firmly in her cheek and has written an absolutely delightful story with a very twisted ending that will, I hope, surprise you as much as it surprised me. I literally laughed out loud when I finished reading it. This is a perfectly short, complete read when you’ve only got a few minutes. A delightful short story that is worth the whole dollar that it costs. This is a very talented author and I can guarantee you will want to read the other works she has with this publisher.
