When Laura arrives to the Demon’s Grotto, she is met by a man named Ben. He has much to tell her before she enters and is giving her a chance to learn the truth before she enters the club. What will her choice be? Will she walk away, or will she take her chances and enter the building that has as many secrets as the years it has been around? Each of his tales has sparked her curiosity but when she learns the truth of everything what will Laura do?

I enjoyed the premise of this book. The building itself is the center of all the stories. Somehow it attracts the strange and otherworldly. As it passes through different owners, we see a new adventure begin. Ben’s tales make for an interesting read. You are along for the ride with Laura and must decide for yourself if the stories are true or not. All the stories revolve around love and sex and how they tie the people together. It was interesting to see if Laura will take a chance to have an adventure of her own or will Ben succeed at keeping her away from the Demon’s Grotto? I enjoyed the variety in the stories and was glad it was not the same story with just new characters. The author does a nice job of world building and adds in strong characters. The connection of the characters in all the stories made for a nice read. All the stories nicely capture the essence of the building and the aura it gives off. This is a nice introduction to the Demon’s Grotto, and it would be interesting to see what new adventures will happen there.

John Standcliff is a demon in hell, suffering endless punishment for five murders he committed. The blurb and inside the book say that happened in 1656. The front matter of the book says 1675. From time to time he’s summoned to Earth to kill a murderer and send them to Hell. This time he’s sent back to his home town where there’s a new murderer attacking women. Corinne Rogerio is visiting her policeman brother to research the murders John committed. The attraction between them is instant, but any hope of happiness is impossible.

This is a gripping, fast-paced story with a nice twist to the angels and demons theme. There are several surprises inside the book and they’re all very well done indeed. I did guess the murderer fairly easily but there’s plenty of tension before the final scene to keep the reader’s interest. The sex scenes are hot and well written and the suspense is handled well too.

It was the little things that pulled me out of the book, like the date contradiction above, and the fact that the book specifically says John is given a crash course on life in the twenty-first century, yet in places it seems like an old book from the 1980s. No one has a cell phone. A message is delivered by a person, as a written note, not by email or text message. There are seven children and three babies in the day care center, yet only one person watching them and no mention of people helping out needing a Working With Children Check. This is one of Changeling Press’s Tenth Anniversary books so I’m wondering if it was first written ten years ago. In that case there’s absolutely no excuse for the 1656/1675 confusion. But I would have expected a note on the book saying it was a reissue.

In conclusion my opinion is that the author has written a good book but it just needs a little polishing to bring it up to where it deserves to be.

CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE! Rory is an ancient vampire who hasn’t gotten close to another lover in a long time. The sparks fly between Dana and himself when he saves her from the vampire attack. Then another vampire comes to town and it is one who is the complete opposite from Rory. Dark and handsome, Jason calls to Dana in ways that have her fighting to have both men in her life ,as an evil reign tries to get power to control the world.

I have got to admit; finding this series from author Kate Hill has me eager to read more of her work. The series, Bloody or Nothing, is a fun, sexy romp in the vampire underground in Las Vegas, that’s populated by characters that will leave you gasping for more. The writing is tight and the storyline flows swiftly. The sex scenes are at times tender but also scorching hot. When Rory and Dana meet, you could feel the sexual sparks between them bursting in the air. What I really enjoyed were the characters from the first book, SUDSY, returned and it felt like the reader was coming home after a long journey to friends. Ms. Hill is a talented author who really understands her characters and delivers heartfelt stories that are wrapped up in a bow for her readers to enjoy.

Meet Rory, an ancient vampire who has lived for centuries and makes his home at the vampire friendly hotel, Bloody or Nothing. Living by his own rules, he never anticipates finding a relationship with a mortal…until Dana arrives looking for her sister. I loved how Rory and Dana didn’t dance around and ignore the sparks between them. They jumped in and acknowledged them and enjoyed the passion that flared between them. Then when Ms. Hill introduced Jason…oh my god! I almost fell over. He was the perfect third in this relationship. Dark to Rory’s light, handsome as sin and man, did he have issues. The emotional aspects of these three together left me rooting for them to find their own happily ever after. The action heats up as Rory and Jason finally acknowledge their feelings for one another as well as for Dana. The recurring secondary characters that we met in the first book, kept the story moving along nicely and the action heated up nicely on and off the bed.

BLOODY OR NOTHING: BOTTOM’S UP continues where SUDSY, book 1, left off and is a rousing hot time in Las Vegas. If you are looking for a hot novella to heat up your nights, then I highly recommend reading the Bloody or Nothing series. I am looking forward to more books by this talented author in the future.

CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE! Lao has for centuries hated humankind after an attack by humans, left his blood children dead and him on a warpath to kill vampire hunters and whomever got in his way. Lao has a ton of enemies and now the war with the evil reign is heating up. Injured while fighting the evil vampires, he takes refuge in Bloody or Nothing and finds the ultimate battle is brewing for the Evil Master has taken an interest in Lao. Can Tyler, the Bloody or Nothing doctor, show Lao that love is worth fighting for?

I love the Bloody or Nothing series. It has a great cast of characters, tight writing and some scorching hot sex scenes to steal your breath away. The final showdown with the evil master is here and this author delivers a story that had me at first, wanting to kill Lao, the centuries old vampire master and then when he meets Tyler, the reader sees a side of him that we thought was lost forever. It’s a compelling story that leaves the reader wondering what happens next for the gang at Bloody or Nothing and their allies. Ms. Hill is a talented author and now has me hooked on her Bloody or Nothing Series. This is the spin-off to her fabulous Elixer Maidens series that I am definitely going to grab soon. We meet them in this third story at the Bloody or Nothing and I was intrigued by their story.

Lao is a hard character to relate to right away. He has made it his mission to hunt down vampire hunters and whoever stands in his way. Eventually we begin to see the real man behind the hardened warrior, one who longs for love and is sure it isn’t for him anymore, especially after the way he has lived his life as a vampire the last few centuries. Ms. Hill has a great way of crafting a complex character that is a hardened warrior, has a ton of enemies from vampires to vampire hunters and one who has an attitude of “Go ahead…take your best shot.” Tyler has been a secondary character in the first two books and it was nice to see, he finally got his happy ending. I really enjoyed how Tyler showed Lao that love is worth fighting for and how Lao can be redeemed by changing his thinking.

BLOODY OR NOTHING: VILLIAN TAMED is a fast paced story that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat with passion, excitement and a storyline that will leave you gasping for more. I look forward to seeing if Ms. Hill will revisit the Bloody or Nothing hotel and the vampires that go there in the future. It would be interesting to see what they are up to in the future. If you are looking for another vampire series to enjoy, then grab the Bloody or Nothing novellas (SUDSY, BOTTOMS UP and VILLAIN TAMED) as it will give you hours of hot steamy reading fun.

CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE! Las Vegas…..the city that never sleeps and is a town that has a haven for vampires in the Bloody or Nothing hotel. Sudsy is the Las Vegas Master Vampire, drag queen and owner of Bloody or Nothing Hotel. When Sudsy meets Julian, an up and coming singer in trouble, Sudsy takes him to the hotel and finds a passion so hot, it scorches the fingers. Their affair escalates even as trouble looms on the horizon. Can Sudsy keep Julian from harm as evil strengthens in the shadows?

I have to admit, I haven’t read The Elixer Maiden’s series that this spins off from and frankly after reading this first book, I am itching to grab it. BLOODY OR NOTHING 1: SUDSY is a wild ride from start to finish with an over the top drag queen, a mystery to solve and passion so hot, it scorches the fingertips. Ms. Hill delivers a great introduction into the vampires who inhabit Las Vegas and the Bloody or Nothing Hotel. Multi-dimensional characters, tight writing and a fast paced storyline keep the reader glued to the pages as they try to figure out, alongside Julian and Sudsy, who or what is rising in the shadows.

Meet Sudsy Waters, a sensual drag queen who owns the Bloody or Nothing Hotel. Sudsy is also the Master Vampire for Las Vegas, keeping the humans/mortals from harm. Meeting Julian, an up and coming singer has him breaking his “No Mortals” rule and with Julian, finds a man who has problems of his own and Sudsy finds an evil rising that he races to extinguish. Sudsy was a great character. I loved that this was a man who looked better in a dress than me. Julian was a man who went through a bad breakup and is finding that life is about to get a little crazy when he falls for Sudsy. There were also some great secondary characters that popped up that had me intrigued. I am hoping they show up in the rest of the Bloody or Nothing series books.

BLOODY OR NOTHING 1: SUDSY is a fast paced fun ride that will leave you eager for more. Ms. Hill is a talented author who knows how to tell a story with exceptional characters and who hooks her readers within the first few pages. I am eager to see what happens next at the Bloody or Nothing Hotel.

CLICK TO PURCHASE! Ambassador Passion was on her way to the planet Shandra when her shuttle crashes, killing her colleagues and she finds herself in the hands of thieves. Rescued by the warriors of the nearest settlement, Passion finds herself forced to either accept the Sacred Debt she owes her rescuers or find her planet at war with Shandra. What’s a girl to do excerpt enjoy the sacrifice…especially as Red & Timber show her the delights of a Shandra Triad Marriage.

NAUGHTY NIGHTS 3: DEVOURED is the final book in one hot trilogy by author Kate Hill. With some returning characters from the past two books and really hot alpha males, Ms. Hill closes the series with a bang. I loved every minute of DEVOURED and frankly wished she would write some more on this alpha male planet. Hot sex, strong men and ancient traditions rule Shandra and I, for one, am hoping to see if there is planet like this out there. Who wouldn’t want to be stuck between two hot, hunky men?

Passion is the ambassador from Earth & is on her way to the planet Shandra for a diplomatic mission. She never expects to crash and then be caught by thieves. Even more, when she is rescued, it is by two of the hottest guys she has ever seen in a long time. When they invoke an ancient Sacred Debt for rescuing her, she finds herself either accepting the marriage of herself to Red & Timber or finding that Shadra will see it as a declaration of war from Earth. What is a girl to do? She enjoys the attention of her hunky men and hangs on for the ride of her life. Passion is one lucky lady as she finds love with two very alpha males on Shandra. Ms. Hill doesn’t pull any punches as the reader is thrust in a world of warriors, triad marriages and ancient traditions. You don’t have to have read the first two books, Enslaved and Commanded, to get the full effect of Naughty Nights but I do recommend reading them as the characters from those two books pop up in DEVOURED. The characters are multi-dimensional, sex is scorching hot and the storyline is fast paced. Ms. Hill is a masterful storyteller who delivers to her readers a story that tie up any loose ends from all three books with one big bow.

DEVOURED is a wonderful swan song to a planet that on one hand is steep in tradition and on the other hand full of characters that make me long to learn more about it. If you enjoy a wonderful story full of captivating characters, fast paced storyline and some scorching hot sex, then grab the Naughty Nights Trilogy. Ms. Hill is a wonderful writer who will surely heat up your winter’s night. Just make sure to keep a bucket of ice nearby to cool down from all the heat as you read DEVOURED.

The Planet of Shandra is male dominated and triad marriages are the norm here. When Finesse lands there, what she finds are two of the most virile and sexy men to keep her captivated for more. Security Chief, Blackstar and Rocksurf are lovers and though Rocksurf longs for a marriage between himself, Blackstar and their female mate, he never expects to have it come true in the arms of Finesse. Can Finesse and Rocksurf get around the walls Blackstar has to the heart of the one man who completes them- heart and soul?

COMMANDED is the second book in Ms. Hill’s Naughty Nights series and it picks up after Enslaved. I love this series. Hunky alpha males, feisty heroines and some scorching hot sex….what more can a reader want? I love, love, love the way Rocksurf and Blackstar interact together as well as with independent Finesse. Ms. Hill keeps the pace jumping as these three find their hearts tied together and try to work through their issues even as events happen on Shandra that has Finesse trying to decide if she should stay or go.

We met Blackstar in Enslaved and I was thrilled to see his story in COMMANDED. Ms. Hill delves into two characters that are strong, dominant and with scars from the past. Rocksurf has been love with Blackstar since the beginning of their training. Blackstar is a scarred brooding man who doesn’t give his heart lightly nor able to say the words he knows Rocksurf needs to hear. When Finesse lands in their laps, these two strong men find that one feisty earth girl will give them a run for their money even as they lose their hearts to her in the process. Finesse is a spunky heroine who is on a job and is sick of earth men. What she wants is a dominate alpha male who can make her weep in pleasure and challenge her in every other way. What she gets is two men who can keep her enthralled in and out of the bedroom. I love these three together. You have Finesse who wants to be loved, Rocksurf who just wants a traditional triad marriage and Blackstar who is scared to let anyone into his heart. I was blown away by the way these three worked together even as they worked out their issues and showed their vulnerability to one another. Add in some wonderful secondary characters and familiar faces from Enslaved and you have got some wonderful heart felt moments sprinkled within COMMANDED.

COMMANDED is a fast paced, wild ride from start to finish. I highly recommend reading Enslaved first to get an idea of the characters and events that happened in that story as it is mentioned throughout COMMANDED. If you like your heroes strong, heroines feisty and the sex scorching hot, then grab COMMANDED and be prepared for one wild ride. Ms. Hill does a great job in creating characters that resonate with the reader. I am highly anticipating the third book in this wonderful series.

Shandra is a planet that is ruled by strong, dominant males and when human merchant, Radiance crash lands on the planet, she finds herself slave to two sexy men who make her knees weak and her body hum.

Darkrock and Strongsea are two strong leaders who despise the other or so they think. Being forced to marry one another, Darkrock and Strongsea find a passion that boils in their veins for one another. For both these two men, the third in their triad is a woman so beautiful; they vow to make her theirs in all ways. Can Radiance and Strongsea get to Darkrock’s heart before all hell breaks loose?

NAUGHTY NIGHTS: ENSLAVED is one hot story by author Kate Hill. I love the fact these two strong men were putty in Radiance’s hands and she was an equal to them after the whole “You are my slave” dialogue. Ms. Hill does a masterful job in creating a world and culture where a triad is the norm and that strong alpha males are able to show their tender sides with the right mates. I do want to warn that there are some M/M scenes that may not appeal to everyone.

Her first book in this series is about two strong leaders who despise the other or so they think. To stop the warring between them, their supreme leader orders them to combine strongholds and lands and then marry to form a triad with a woman of their choosing. To say the least, these two do not like it but in order to not lose all they hold dear, they tie the knot. What happens next will blow these two strong men as passion boils in their veins and they give into the sensual onslaught as they try to work through problems. These two guys are so yummy, I wanted to crash land on Shandra myself just to see what they could do to me. With the right touch of vulnerability and strength, Ms. Hill does a great job getting to these two strong men’s heart and shows the reader all their secrets and desires. Add in Radiance, a human woman who is drawn to them and is determined to be an equal as well on a world where women are not revered, Ms. Hill captures the perfect blend of strength, feistiness and sex appeal with her three main characters. They interacted well with some wonderful secondary characters that have me hoping they get their own stories soon and the sensual scenes will leave you breathless.

NAUGHTY NIGHTS: ENSLAVED is one hot read that will get your motor humming and all I can say is “please can I have more?” to this fabulous author. If you enjoy a hot ménage science fiction story that will keep you warm at night, then grab NAUGHTY NIGHTS: ENSLAVED. Just make sure to keep your significant other around to take the edge off after the last page is read.

CLICK TO PURCHASE! Police Detective Joel Tristan is on a complex case that leads him to elf, Dylan, a person with a shady past and he never expects to find himself attracted to this hunky elf. Dylan finds himself drawn to the cynical cop with the piercing eyes and a body that he itches to explore. When elf coins go missing and murders heat up, Dylan and Joel team up to find whomever is causing it all while trying to deal with the complexities of falling in love.

Ms. Hill’s latest Yummy Love series book is chock full of adventure, passion and characters that fairly jump off the pages. With the right touch of humor, wit and a lyrical writing style, this author delves into a world where elves, shifters and others roam. Add in a case that has stolen Elvin coins, an elf legend and some really hot sex; you got the start of some Yummy Love!

I really enjoyed this quick tale of police detective Joel Tristan and hunky Elf, Dylan. Both had much done to them in their lives yet each show a good heart. Dylan runs a shelter that helps magical creatures of all kinds. When he is missing money after a charity event for the shelter, he decides to not go to the cops but instead one comes to his door and literally handcuffs him. Joel is cynical and has a deep rooted desire to serve justice to the population of Grim. When he meets Dylan, he finds himself shocked to see someone who is honest and determined to help in any way. These two are quite the opposites but dang, if they pull you in and the reader sees sparks fly. The passion fairly sizzles between them and I was afraid the computer would blow up from it all. I really liked the dynamics of how both characters try to make their way in a relationship that has them falling in love and the ramifications around them with others. Ms. Hill delves into their world and the reader gets a sense of how Dylan and Joel connect on all levels. It was quite a delight to read, especially, as these two work together to find out how to stop the thefts of elfin coins and both never imagine that one of them would be in danger from it all as well.

BLUEBERRY MUFFINS is a fun, enthralling tale that has you rooting for Dylan and Joel and has a marvelous cast of secondary characters that keep the story flowing. With the right blend of action, passion and mystery, Ms. Hill’s BLUEBERRY MUFFINS will keep you highly entertained and eager for more. I am looking forward to checking out the rest in her Yummy Love Series and hope there is more in the future.

Tarn the Frost Giant, turns to Tarn the Grinch every Christmas. He feels the holiday cheer spoils the winter months. But at Hot River, magic abounds. Old Man Winter on the other hand loves Christmas and does his best to provide a winter wonderland background for the festivities. He would love to join in the fun, but people are very intimidated when he is around and so he goes his lonely way. Tarn takes off to escape the Christmas season and stumbles on Old Man Winter. When these two meet, Tarn never realised that Old Man Winter was such a hunk of a man, and Old Man Winter is now going to give Tarn his own magical winter season. Looks like the Grinch believes in Christmas after all.

This is a fun, entertaining story and I must say that all the Gingersnaps from Changeling Press have warmed my winter nights. Kate Hill gives her readers a story about a man who just doesn’t like Christmas and just wants to be left alone, until he meets another passionate man who enjoys the Christmas season and is happy to share it with him. Ms Hill has written an emotion loaded story with multi-dimensional characters in a winter setting but with sex scenes so hot as to make your toes curl. Yes, I’m not, as you have realised from my other reviews, a big fan of gay fiction, but there are authors out there that do write a very good story and Kate Hill is one of them.
