THE GUILTY INNOCENT picks up right after book one, Desires Unleashed ends and we find Natasha being wooed by both Xavier and Darian as she finds her place in their world and tries to get a handle on the powers she has. What I love about this author’s stories is how her world building just expands and grows with each book. From the o0pening sentence to the final words in the book, this author gives the reader one hell of a ride from start to finish. Throw in a few twists, some amazing secondary characters and stir in some hot steamy scenes well, you got the makings for one red hot read. The writing is tight, story flows at a nice even pace and the cast of characters…well let’s just say there is someone for everyone to root for. They are complex and the author does a great job in showing the reader their faults and good traits as well as giving the reader a glimpse into each individual paranormal world, be it vampire, shifter or others you may find here in THE GUILTY INNOCENT.

THE GUILTY INNOCENT is one of those books you can’t just put down. I loved every minute of the mystery Xavier, Natasha and their friends had to figure out before Darian was put to death for a crime he did not commit. Plus you get a chance to see some new characters that intrigued me as well as a few old friends from the first book. I love the dynamics between all the characters, whether vampire, shifters or human. D.N. Simmons is fast becoming my go to author when I need a paranormal hit and her Knights of the Darkness Chronicles is one series that I love to read over and over again. I can’t wait to see what she does in book three.

If you are looking for a hot, sexy paranormal series, then try D.N. Simmon’s Knights of the Darkness Chronicles and settle in for one pulse pounding ride from start to finish.

Author D. N. Simmon’s The Knights of the Darkness Chronicles have had me spellbound from the very first book, Desires Unleashed. With the right amount of sizzling passion, adventure, mystery and more, this is an author who delivers with each book one wild roller coaster of a ride from start to finish. In this final volume in her beloved series, we find Darien, Xavier, Natasha and all their friends find themselves racing against the clock as a new threat to not just their world but to the entire world-human and supernatural. This time the threat attacks someone close to them and they will do anything they have to in order to find a cure. Defeat is not an option. I loved how this author introduces the new main players such as the Vampire Fonts. Very powerful, the original vampires and the new threat that face them. She ties it up nicely in Darien, Xavier and their friends storyline as we find out what has happened since book five, The Lion’s Den and it is one full of action, mystery and emotional ups and downs. This is an author who knows how to let her characters shine within the pages of this addicting series. The writing is tight, story moves quickly and the new characters are quite intriguing though a few made me want to smack them into next year.

UNHOLY ALLIANCE is a fun filled ride from start to finish. I literally had to make myself put down the e-reader to go to bed or I would have been up till wee hours just seeing what happens next for our merry band of characters. I shed some tears, laughed, and sighed with pleasure as this beloved series finally ends. If you love a kick butt series with intriguing characters, some very sexy sex scenes and storylines that leave you gasping for air, then you need to get this series immediately. Though I got to admit, this is one addictive series so make sure to have tissues and ice nearby to cool you off or to stop the flow of tears. I do caution you there are scenes of threesomes, M/M, M/F and others that may not appeal to some readers but give it a chance and you may find you love it as much as I do.  I do have to mention that there are few instances where a better editor was needed but it doesn’t throw you out of the story or hurt the character development at all.

Run-Don’t Walk-to grab this entire series and fall in love with the Knights of the Darkness Chronicles. You won’t be disappointed.

D.N. Simmons delivers one spellbinding ride from start to finish in her introduction to the Knights of the Darkness Chronicles in DESIRES UNLEASHED. Sexy, gritty and downright action packed. The reader is pulled into this world where supernatural beings live, work and play right alongside the human population. The writing was tight, story moved at a nice, even pace and the action ebbed and flowed nicely, keeping me on the edge of my seat till the very end. What I loved the most was the three core paranormal beings here-werewolves, were-cheetahs and vampires-that are front and center in this story.

The author does a great job in conveying their differences and the way they lived together. I liked how some secondary characters had distinct personality quirks as well. It made them more life-like to me. The characters themselves were very engaging and quite entertaining. I got to admit, I absolutely adored Darian and Xavier the most. Sexy, adorable and downright luscious these two were. The sparks between them magnified when they met Natasha and these three stole my heart in more ways than one.

I have got to stress; this book sets up the series so there is a lot going on with many different characters being introduced to the reader. Keep at it and eventually it will all come together. The sex scenes are hot yet sensual; it enhances the storyline and doesn’t take it over. D.N. Simmons delivers a high octane ride from start to finish and I enjoyed every minute of it. The ending has a few twists that had me dropping my jaw in disbelief and flipping the page like mad to see what happens next. Please note this book has been extensively rewritten and re-released so it may be changed from an earlier copy.

If you are looking for a different paranormal/urban fantasy story then grab DESIRES UNLEASAHED and get lost in this world of paranormal creatures, mysteries and where romance blooms when you least expect it. I can’t wait to see what else this author has up her sleeve for readers in the next book in The Knight of the Darkness Chronicles.

Only time will tell who is the hunter and who is the prey.

I have got to admit, I have waited for this latest book for the last several years, hoping the author would finally deliver the next installment in this gripping saga. I was pleasantly surprised to find, once I got it, a story so original, it blew me away. THE LION’S DEN is action packed, has humor, sinful M/M action and a mystery that had me on the edge of my seat. Ms. Simmons delivers a high octane ride in her latest chapter in the acclaimed Knights of the Darkness Chronicles series. The story flows smoothly, the writing is tight and the characters were very well written. Ms. Simmons delivers, in her latest book set in the supernatural world of Chicago and beyond.

I have to recommend, first off, that you read right from the beginning of the series (DESIRES UNLEASHED, THE GUILTY INNOCENT, HOSTILE TERRITORY & ROYAL FLUSH). Each book capitalizes on the last one so I don’t recommend starting mid-way through the series. The characters continue to amaze me with each book. They grow and evolve with each story and you see different aspects of them that leave you breathless. There are many different supernatural beings mentioned in this series but three are part of the main characters: Darian, The Master Vampire of Illinois, Xander, the Alpha of the Chicago Wolf Pack and Elise, the Queen of the local feline pride.

With each book we see different aspects of the characters as well as the secondary characters. They are full of life and fairly step off the pages. There are some wonderful reoccurring secondary characters that we meet again that had me smiling at times in joy, laughter and happiness. Ms. Simmons has a knack at creating some intriguing characters that have their own personalities that don’t overshadow the storyline. The last half of the book is where the action really picks up as the main characters race against the clock to find who is causing havoc in their city. The climatic ending will have you racing to see when book six comes out as the author leaves you wanting more.

THE LION'S DEN delivers a story so complex, wild and action packed, I suggest you install speed bumps to slow you down. I can attest that you may be up late reading this just to see what happens next. Ms. Simmons is a talented author who is going places. I anticipate seeing her work right alongside Sherrilyn Kenyon and L. A. Banks one of these days. If you enjoy a high octane paranormal/urban fantasy adventure, then I highly recommend Ms. Simmons Knights of the Darkness Chronicles.

D.N. Simmons has done it again with her latest Knights of the Darkness book, HOSTILE TERRITORY. Tight writing, multifaceted characters, and a fast pace deliver an edge of the seat ride that will leave you breathless. Get ready for the next in the saga that has Master Vampire Darian finding out that he and his friends have a new enemy, one that is determined to wipe them off the face of this earth one way or another. Secrets, mysteries and romance blossom as the twists and turns of each page kept this reader spellbound till the last page ended.

Be ready as you relish in Darian, Xavier, Natasha and all their friends as well as meet some new ones that will keep you highly entertained. The sub-plots that the secondary characters go through keeps the flow fast and you get a real sense of who the characters are deep inside. With her trademark style, this author is definitely on the road to becoming as beloved as the likes of JR Ward, Christine Feehan and other paranormal authors that readers have loved for years.

HOSTILE TERRITORY starts several months after her last book, The Royal Flush, and picks up rather well. I was enthralled with the adventures and hijacks the characters took and made sure to keep the fan on high as the sex scenes simmered to over boiling. Just a word of warning: this is a very graphic book, has M/M scenes as well as ménages and graphic violence that may not appeal to everyone. With that in mind, if you enjoy an engrossing series that has characters that grow with each book and storylines that literally suck you in and captivate you, then grab D.N.’s wonderful Knights of the Darkness series and get ready to be blown away by her voice as she takes you on a whirlwind ride. All this reviewer can say is: When will the next book be out?
