Peter Talladay has returned to his native Ireland to recover from wounds received in the Middle East. His recovery has come to a halt. Plagued by nightmares and not able to walk without raging headaches, Peter seems to be accepting his fate. But Project Prometheus hasn’t deserted him and they’ve sent someone special to help in his recovery. Doctor Hope MacKenzie is more than just a doctor. She’s an empath and really is capable of chasing away the demons that haunt Peter. Trouble is, she has a few demons of her own to face, but she keeps trying to run away from them. And one of them just happens to be an aversion to the military. Together, they not only have to face spiritual demons, but also the very real danger of some very real enemies.
This story is going to take all your emotions and put them through the wringer. Esther Mitchell knows how to write a very real story with very real characters that leap off the pages. This is a tale that you will want to have plenty of time to read and a tale that will seep into the very core of your being and take you on an emotional ride. Ms Mitchell gives her readers some sweet sexual tension throughout the story and characters that learn and grow together. She also gives us a really villainous villianess who will chill the bones. This reviewer highly enjoyed this story and was swept away with it’s scope and depth. If you want to be carried off on an adventure, rocked to the soul with deep emotions, then this is the story for you.
