Just out of therapy, putting the bottle behind her and hoping for a time of meditation and rest she is surprised when the caretaker warns her not to touch the typewriter, the owner wouldn’t like it. She finds she’s not alone. There is another, a shadow, a voice, a kiss, a caress. Another pain wracked soul has been awakened to share her misery. The barriers between time and space break as they find passion and each other. But reality can disappear and a promise could mean more than what Lola wants to give.

What a deep, dark story this is. Ellen Ashe takes her readers on a thrilling, horrifying ride that will give the reader the chills. Although this is a short story, Ms. Ashe masterfully weaves a lot of emotion into it so that the reader will be on the edge of her seat. MISERY LOVES COMPANY is a strong, gripping story. It is definitely not your usual romance story and the ending is not what the reader will expect. This reviewer loved it. This is just the type of story that this reviewer loves to devour. This is the type of story that the reader will be thinking about long after it’s read. This reviewer recommends you pick this one up right away if you like a dark, chilling tale.
