Kei, Juro and Aki are now in training as agents for Perseverance. They will be working under the shadow of the law, going on missions to kill criminals that the law have been unable to judge. As Kei, Juro and Aki have no formal training at all, their mentors are concerned that they will have the time to become fully trained before their first mission. They return to their life as rock stars with the backing and help of Perseverance and their first mission arrives. They need to take out a horrible monster, the worst criminal in Japan, a man who feeds on young children. The Mercykill boys have to come to terms with their fears, their relationship with each other, with a ghost that wants to help them and the fact that not everyone in Perseverance is happy that they are on the team.

They are all very much newbies when it comes to their mission, and they are not getting all the help they really need. The story is heart wrenching and the ending is a real cliff-hanger!
