The last thing Marcee Robbens is looking for when she attends her best friend’s wedding is a relationship. Who needs relationships when they only lead to a broken heart? But she’s quite open to having a ONE NIGHT STAND after meeting sexy Sam McKelvey.

Sam would love to have a ONE NIGHT STAND. After all he’s not looking for anything permanent either. He’s focusing all his energy on his teenage daughter. But a ONE NIGHT STAND with Marcee Robbens? Sam feels Marcee deserves more than a night of sex.

Sam and Marcee throw caution to the wind and spend the night together. Marcee can’t seem to get her mind off Sam, but he’s moved away to concentrate on his daughter.

What will happen when Marcee is called home to take care of her teenage brother and finds Sam is her neighbor?

When I pick a book to read I usually start by the cover then move on to the blurb. In the case of ONE NIGHT STAND both attracted me. Having never read anything by Ms. Kirk before, I began the story leery. I’m happy to say that I absolutely loved ONE NIGHT STAND.

Ms. Kirk has the ability to create believable characters, living in plausible situations. Her heroine Marcee is witty, head-strong, yet vulnerable – and she’s quick with the one-liners. She’s committed to her family and willing to fight for what’s hers.

The hero, Sam is an ultra sexy single dad. His situation will pull at your heartstrings. The teenagers in this story are wise beyond their years and could teach the adults a thing or two about love.

Overall, ONE NIGHT STAND was comical and romantic. This reviewer highly recommends this book.
