CLICK TO PURCHASE! Does Phebe Jones really have the courage to go to the room of a perfect stranger? Well, she’s dressed in black lace, she’s wearing a mask, she’s at a masquerade ball and she’s determined to seduce the first man who catches her eye. Then a tall, blond man wearing a kilt, his face painted blue turns her on. But still, she hesitates. Then, getting herself together and reminding herself what her agenda was, she steps through the door and into the arms of a big, brawny blond man who almost burns her alive with his touch and sears her heart with his tenderness. In the morning, however, reality arrives with the dawn and the realization that she is no longer in 2008. Her lover is not the man she met the night before and now she has to find out how to get back to her own time while surviving this one.
I haven’t read a time-travel in a while. Before I used to read lots of them, but many were rather boring and not always quite believable. Now, this story by Caroline Valdez has re-awakened my love of time-travel romances. Not only is this story highly erotic and full of emotion, nor does it only have great characters who leap from the pages. It is also a really good story, believable and a lot of fun. Phebe is a woman who we can all relate to. She finally takes matters into her own hand as it were. There are many secondary characters that add depth and life to the story. Caroline Valdez gives her readers a high adventure, an exciting ride and some nice love scenes to tingle the toes to boot. An all around great story that I can highly recommend. This one will stay on my cyber-shelf to be re-read for sure.
