CLICK TO PURCHASE! Dykskra only came to buy a male to help with the work. He runs a camp underground where it is warmer than on the frozen Earth. Life is hard there, but Dykskra takes good care of the people. What he finds however is a woman who intrigues him like no other. She’s fragile, starving and almost frozen to death, but she’s stronger than any other woman he’s known. Then he sees the scar that marks her as a Lionsmate and he will do everything to claim her for his own. But first, he must see if she can take on the hard life and be the mate he needs. Talia wants Dykskra with a need unparalleled. She wonders why the male doesn’t take her there and then. Or maybe he feels she’s not worthy of him?
LIONSMATE is a wonderful story with two very exciting characters. Marteeka Karland writes a tight, gritty story about two people from very different cultures who find each other under trying circumstances and find a way to true love. Dykskra is pure male. Very honorable and totally committed to the people that are under his care. He is willing to risk his life for them. Talia compliments him perfectly. She gets right in and gets the people to think more for themselves and to do more too. The sexual tension is really high and Dykskra’s seeming rejection makes Talia go for desperate measures. There is a rather nice ménage a trois in this story. I loved LIONSMATE and can highly recommend it. Don’t forget the first story in this series, Lionsblood, in the Snowbound series.
