They’ve already met and fought to the death and still have that open between them. Then Elyse shows up and hands Shague a photo. A photo of his siste who had been kidnapped many years ago. Now he wants Elyse to go with him to find his sister. Elyse also wants to find his sister. There are parts of her life that she has no recollections of and now she may just have the key to unlock those secrets. Trouble is, can they work together or will they kill each other before reaching their goal?
This is a another marvelous story in Angela Verdenius’ Heart and Soul series. She has given her readers to very unlikely characters. Two very explosive characters and throughout the whole story, the reader doesn’t know if they will ever admit their attraction or end up in a bloody mess. Angela Verdenius builds up the sexual tension really slowly between these two characters and when ‘it’ happens, it is explosive! This is an explosive story in every sense. An exciting plot, lots of action, sassy dialogue and fight scenes so well described they dance before your eyes. And in my eyes, this is one of the grittiest, tightest stories Ms Verdenius has written so far. I am so looking forward to the next book in this compelling series.
