Lara, the highly regarded healer from Nerak, comes to Earth to find a medicine for one of the Nerakian Elders, who is ill from an earthling sickness. When she visits her sister Kia, she mets the cop, Sam Jones. He is on his way to a much needed vacation or so he thought, because Lara decides to join him. He can help her with her search for the plant. Everything would be perfect if her stubbornness and her opinion that Nerakians are the superior beings wouldn’t drive Sam crazy.
Ms. Kelley is a very gifted author, who knows how to combine hot spicy elements with her unique kind of humor and the result is a story like no other you have ever read before.
We’ve already met Sam, the hero, in COSMIC SEX, where he was already an intriguing secondary character, but now in his own story, he is absolutely to die for.
Lara’s uppity and how she treats Sam will sometimes make you want to wring her neck, but in the end she makes it up with her funny way of discovering the delights of the life on earth, like chocolate or sex.
The book gives the reader a first real view of the life on Nerak and introduces new characters, which I guess will play an important role in the upcoming books of the Planet Nerak series. Ms. Kelley really knows how to keep her readers more curious about how the series continues.
THE BAD BOYS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY is the third book in Karen Kelley’s alien series. The book can be read as a stand-alone, but I can tell you that you will pick up the first two books if you haven’t read them. The books are addictive.
