Jill Danvers is back in Bluebonnet Falls after ten years to do a piece on it’s bicentennial celebration for the magazine she now works for. She knows she is going to have to see Gabe Carter, the man who broke her heart and married someone else. Gathering up the broken pieces of her heart, she left Bluebonnet all those years ago, hoping never to return. When she finally meets him she realizes two things. The feelings she had for him never went away and now he’s not married. They are soon heating up the nights as their attraction gets out of hand. Gabe finds out that Jill has acquired sexual tastes that matches his own. But is their happiness doomed? Gabe’s ex shows up, clearly wanting him back again and there is something shady going on up at the new development that is supposed to help Bluebonnet Falls and it’s community.

This is a story that will get your pulse going and have you panting along with its hero and heroine. It will command your whole attention and involve all your emotions. Desiree Holt, in my opinion, masterfully combines a hot romance together with an exciting adventure. She gives her readers multi-faceted characters, love scenes that curl the toes and enough suspense to make you gasp. We have Gabe and Jill patching up their relationship, the intruding wicked ex-wife and the machinations of greedy investors. There is never a dull moment and I could hardly put this book down. Emotions are rolling and the reader will be rooting for Gabe and Jill and the obstacles they have to overcome. I’ve read a few stories from this very talented author and have not yet been disappointed. Desiree Holt is an author to watch very closely and each one of her stories is not to be missed.
