It’s Halloween night and Brad has broken up with his girlfriend. While he repots his Bonsai he starts talking to it. Imagine his surprise when the tree talks back. Diedre had been cursed a long time ago to live in trees. When they die, she hops into another seed and waits for the tree to grow and die again. The way Brad takes care of her tree, it’s never going to die and she may be stuck in there forever. Brad is going to help her and he researches to find out how to free her. On the sixth Halloween, one of Brad’s girlfriends gets really angry and throws the pot, destroying the tree and killing Diedre. Now she can leave the tree...but she gets a choice. Carry on going from tree to tree or go back to Brad and live the rest of her life with him. What will she choose?
Poor Diedre, who hates men and has a heart set on revenge. And what a man Brad is, who shows her that there are some really nice guys out there who are also quite hunky. Yes, Mechele Armstrong has written a delightful story that I really enjoyed reading. It’s not too long and made a rather chilly evening warm and fun. This author has a real knack at bringing characters alive that the reader can relate to, at giving a plot that’s fun and at delivering a well-rounded story that will keep the reader captivated. The romance is sensuous and very sexy. Brad has quite a few fantasies. Definitely worthy of recommending and I can only tell you that you’d be missing out on a really good Halloween read if you don’t pick this up. Mechele Armstrong is a very good author that I have often enjoyed and I am sure you will too.
