Briec the Mighty. A mighty warrior, a mighty lover. He has no need for love, but gets his pleasure when and where he wants. When he saves a damsel in distress, he thinks he’ll keep her for a little while until he tires of her. Of course, it stands to reason that she will comply and be happy to be the lover of Briec the Mighty. But Talaith is not so sure. Ok, her life has been going down for a while now and ending up with an arrogant, insufferable dragon may just be the last straw. She’s been blackmailed into servitude by a goddess, married off to a man she hates and finally dragged out of her bed to be burned at the stake...until Briec showed up and rescued her. Briec thinks she’s too chatty and complains a tad too much, but somehow she’s gotten under his thick hide. Talaith has many secrets but if they can just get on for a short while, Talaith may realize this great and mighty dragon could be the help she needs.

Now this is a book I could rave and rave and rave about. It has characters I really enjoy. An arrogant, alpha male/dragon who takes it for granted that the woman he wants will be compliant and a female who just knows how to put this man/dragon in his place. The interaction between these two was funny, tense, explosive, and when they finally did admit they were falling...sizzling hot!! G. A. Aiken writes a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. She delivers an exciting plot that twists and turns and keeps you guessing. There are lots of secondary characters and you have to read the first book DRAGON ACTUALLY so you will know who is who. There will be some other dragons you just want to read about too, and hopefully, G. A. Aiken will be writing their stories really soon. It is definitely a re-read for me, when I have more time and can read it in one sitting. Hope the next one is out soon! It is also available in paperback at Kensington.
