Essie far prefers the cold North, the very cold North, but she’s stuck in hotter-than-hot Texas on assignment. And she’s in a town that probably didn’t make the map. Well, it’s Christmas Eve and soon she’ll be back in the frozen North, with Santa and the rest of the elves. But on her way home, she gets picked up by a local officer of the law who thinks she’s a hoor. Well, she’s checking out the naughty and nice list and when she meets Sheriff Dalton, she decides that being naughty might have some perks after all, especially if it gets her her man. Essie believes in meeting trouble head on and if she makes Santa’s naughty list this year, then so be it.

You can always be sure that with a book from J. Morgan, you’ll be reading with a big grin on your face. In this short, you’ll be chuckling for sure as this author blends a special type of humor into this entertaining story. Cleverly using the first person, Essie is a character you can relate to and love. You’ll cheer her on, cringe when she stumbles into one situation after another and sigh when she gets her man. This is a good, funny, well-rounded story that will add lots of cheer to your Christmas.
