If you haven’t followed this series, get ready to be entertained and captivated by the way Masters Dante and Drake go after their missing favorites who are in the clutches of a sadistic Master who wants revenge against these two acclaimed Masters. Can they get their favorites out without lasting effects from the torture or will it all be in vain? This is the first time I have read one of this author’s Master books and it was very seductive storytelling. You feel the full emotions the Masters have towards their favorites. I enjoyed seeing the way the gentleness came even as the Masters’ inflicted the pain they enjoyed giving. This author delves under the surface to the hearts of all the major characters and delivers a powerful story of love, passion and the way pleasure is in pain. It was a delight to read A MASTER’S LOVE and see how the main characters react to stunning betrayals and fury.

In AMOUREUX, it is several months after the events told in A MASTER’S LOVE and Master Dante is fighting his very nature with his favorite, Bazil. It is an emotional as well as a physical struggle for Dante as he tries to fight the very person he is even as his favorites and loves try to get him to face the object of his anger, his fears and passion. In a stunning climax, Dante is shown a way that will have him deliver everything and more to the one who matters most to him and in the process heal the wounds that have been festering since those fateful events months before. Can Bazil get Dante to do what he loves to do most with him or will it tear them apart? This was a wonderful conclusion to the Master’s Love story and I found it very emotional yet physically powerful. Here you have a powerful man, torn to giving into his very nature and fighting it with every inch of himself. This author captures Master Dante’s struggle within himself and with others as he tries to fight the very person he is, even as he wishes to do what he loves most to Bazil: show him the pleasure in pain.

A MASTER’S LOVE/AMOUREX is a wonderful duo of stories that showcase two very captivating characters that had me looking up the other books in this series. It does have some scenes of M/M, Bondage, S&M, and other fetishes that may not appeal to everyone. It is a very sexually powerful book that will get you hot and bothered to the point you will want a cold shower or to jump your significant other. Justus Roux is a compelling storyteller and I will definitely add this author on my “to read list”.
