Erin Fox has a nagging mother and a goody-goody cousin. In order to keep her mother at bay, she’s told her that she’s engaged. Now she needs to show up at her cousin’s wedding with a man. Her current boyfriend tells her he is in no way interested in marriage so she drops him like a hot potato. Then, while in a restaurant, the bartender winks at her and she’s sure she’s found the man who could pose as her fiancé. After they get to know each other and have sex every which way Erin wants Derek for real, but he’s got his own agenda and a commitment he hasn’t told her about. Things get really complicated and Erin thinks that Derek has engaged in deception when maybe he only has a compassionate nature.
I read the first two books in this series and really enjoyed them a lot. So much so that I gave them a glowing review. This one, however, did not live up to my expectation. It’s not a bad story. I did enjoy it and it certainly had me captivated and I read it until the end. This is a very sexy story but I did get a bit tired of puckering nipples and wet panties. I found Erin just a bit too much obsessed with sex. I was not very impressed with the fact that she had sex with her ex. I was somewhat disappointed with this last story in the series and had greater hopes for it. Still, I would recommend it as there are readers out there that will enjoy it.
