Fifteen years ago, Ellis Greene’s cousin was raped and beaten so badly that she never regained consciousness. Now Hollis Alexander who was convicted of the crime is out on parole. And Ellis was the witness that put him away.

Once suspect in the attack and Ellis’ closest friend, Nate Vance disappeared right after the trail. Now he is back to protect Ellis because she matters to him. Perhaps more then she should considering his line of work.

SEEING RED is the first book that I have read by Susan Crandall but it will not be the last. This is one book that will have you jumping at noises in the night. Full of plot twists that will keep you guessing, SEEING RED will keep you intrigued and reading far too late into the night.

What makes it really eerie is the superb job that Ms. Crandall has done with the characters. The villain of the piece, Hollis Alexander, could easily be someone that you chat with in the grocery store or even your dog groomer. Ellis is a character that will draw both sympathy for what she has gone through and pride for the woman she has become from the reader. And Nate is one hunk of a man. Protective of Ellis, he does his best not to become involved with her as he doesn’t want his life to destroy her. Talk about a doomed relationship.

I highly recommend SEEING RED by Susan Crandall to any reader looking for a first class romantic suspense. This is one author who has been added to my auto-buy list. Be sure to rush out and grab your copy today.
