Summer is here on Blossom Street and Lydia Goetz, owner of A Good Yarn is thinking up a new knitting class to teach. Soon the “Knit to Quit” class is full and thriving. It is for anyone who wants to quit something…or someone. Join Lydia, Margaret and all their friends, new and old, as summer on Blossom Street shows you how strong friendship really is even when the chips are down and stitches get snarled.

SUMMER ON BLOSSOM STREET is a wonderful new addition to the Blossom Street series by author Debbie Macomber. I have to say this is one of my favorite series of Ms. Macomber. You get a sense of the characters intimately and how they evolve throughout the story. With a wonderful brand of storytelling, this is an author who literally makes you want to know what happens next to the extent that you forget all about time, dishes or laundry with her great stories. SUMMER ON BLOSSOM STREET is no different. Ms. Macomber is a masterful storyteller that will leave you turning the page so fast, it is amazing you don’t get whiplash.

If you haven’t read any of the Blossom Street books, I highly encourage you to visit this wonderful neck of the woods. In this story, you meet Lydia Goetz, the owner of the local yarn shop, A Good Yarn. She has classes for any interested in knitting and no experience is necessary. This time, it is called “Knit to quit” and it is for those longing to quit something or someone, in one case. With some wonderful new friends plus a few old ones as well, Ms. Macomber delves into a story rich with multifaceted characters, a fast pace storyline and some twists that will keep you spell bound. I know I was especially as I forgot everything except “WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!!!???”

Ms. Macomber delivers a heart stirring story that will have you smiling, laughing and sighing over as the wonderful characters flow off the pages and into your hearts. If you haven’t checked out Ms. Macomber’s Blossom Street series yet, I highly recommend you do. They will take you on a journey that will hold your heart and keep you longing for more. I look forward to more Blossom Street stories in the future and hope you do as well.
