Dorantes is a gifted grimoire and he wants Regina. He has been waiting a long time to come to her. He takes Regina on a mystical, visionary adventure of lust and debauchery. She doesn’t know he is doing this until a truly frightening truth causes her to almost lose her sanity. Dorantes is the only one who can catch her from falling.Ellen Ashe is an author I really enjoy reading because she always gives me a really wonderful, dark read with characters that are different than your normal story and a plot that twists and turns. This story borders on the horrific and may send a shiver down your spine. I was captivated from the very first page on. I couldn’t put it down until the last word. Her characters are full of surprises and you will be wondering just what is going on. I assure you, you will not expect what happens. Ellen Ashe takes you on a chilling adventure that will have you holding your breath as well as sometimes suddenly letting it go, only to suck it in again. The sex scenes in this story are rather violent...some readers may not find this to their taste, but I felt they fit perfectly to the story and the characters. I dare you to pick this one up!
