CLICK TO PURCHASE! Poor Ruri, after finding out she was on a spaceship and now someone’s wife, she lashes out and after a year, finds herself lost in how to save her marriage to Kiger. But sarcasm and violence has marred their union and Kiger has found someone else to love. Kiger is tired of trying to love the woman he chose from Earth as his mate and lonely, he finds himself in love with another. Can Ruri make Kiger see that she can love him the way he needs to be loved or is it too late for them both?
BITTER WINE is about some secondary characters that were introduced in the Ta ‘E’ ‘Sha Chronicles’s series by Ms. Boese. This follows Ruri and Kiger and their lonely marriage. I felt so bad for both of them as I read BITTER WINE. Ms. Boese delves deep into the heart of her main characters and you get a sense of how each character feels toward the other. Ruri was taken from her family and friends to a place where she never heard of before, finding out that she was married was a total shock to her system on top of it all. She lashes out at Kiger and after a year of living with the Ta ‘E’ ‘Sha, she finds herself growing up and learning about them. Knowing she was wrong to treat him and others around her so badly, she tries to make amends with Kiger but comes face to face with a shocking surprise that sets of a chain reaction that will have two people learn the way to love is fraught with many twists and turns.
I was thrown for a loop when I read BITTER WINE. It was passionate, loving and very, very emotional. With Ruri finding out that her husband has moved on and many misunderstandings arise as these two stubborn people try to communicate, the reader is taken on a heartfelt journey that leaves you breathless. I do have to mention that this is one very hot book with many explicit sex scenes that may not appeal to everyone.
Ms. Boese delivers a story that hits you on all levels and I was rooting for both Ruri and Kiger to give them a second chance. I look forward to more of the Ta ‘E’ Sha series and hope I don’t have to wait too long for the next installment. If you enjoy a very emotional yet passionate story of two people learning to love again and finding out that forgiveness begins with yourself, then grab BITTER WINE; this is definitely one to keep on the shelf to read again.
