Dani Wallace is a guardian of light. She also dances at night and enjoys the power she wields. She does a private dance for a man who takes her breath away and makes her want to break her rule of ‘no sex with the customers’. This man turns out to be a prince from a strange underworld and he wants her as his consort. He needs to make sure that his evil twin doesn’t get the throne or else it could mean the end of Dani’s world. He is ready to seduce her into willingness, but she doesn’t give in so quickly. Even though she is a guardian of light, the darkness calls to her and Casedren is the kind of man a woman cannot resist. He has his sights set on her, he wants her and whatever happens he plans to keep her safe. But he desperately needs her and together they have to accomplish a task in which failure means death.
I’m always thrilled when I get to read a book by Devyn Quinn. You are guaranteed a hot, spicy, deliciously sensual story that is dark and sometimes creepy. She gives her readers characters that they can relate to and root for, a plot that twists and turns and she springs a few surprises on you, too. Ms Quinn pens a story that has you glued to the pages and holding your breath. She pens love scenes that get you panting and wishing you were in the heroine’s place. Her villains are diabolical even though they may in fact be somewhat seductive themselves. In fact, I have never yet been disappointed in any of her stories and have loved every one of them. I can only highly recommend her books and if you like a story that is on the dark side, which reeks of sexual tension with hot, hot sex scenes, then this author is one you have to pick up!
