Posing as an orphan, she finds that Nathaniel is not everything he seems to be and as these two find themselves in the adventure of a lifetime, love blooms and passion simmers between them. The question is: what is more important: solving the quest they are on or letting the love that is between them bind them in more ways than one? Get ready for an adventure of a lifetime as the Harrington boys find themselves racing against the clock to solve the mystery behind Gabriella’s brother’s ruin and find the greatest gift of all: Love.

THE VIRGIN’S SECRET is a kick off to the Harrington Brothers trilogy by Ms. Alexander. In Book 1, we meet the brothers Nathanial, Sterling and Quinton. They have been interested in traveling the world and finding its treasures since they found an old journal from their great-grandmother long ago. Full of intriguing characters, fast paced storyline, tight writing and Ms. Alexander’s signature writing style, THE VIRGIN’S SECRET is a voyage from start to finish.

Meet Gabriella Montoni, a woman who is determined to clear her brother’s name and solve the mystery of who stole his discovery. Strong and multi-layered, she goes toe to toe with the man she assumes is the key to solving the mystery: Nathanial Harrington, a fellow adventurer. What she gets is a man who is virile, strong and equally determined to not seduce Gabriella, even if she makes his knees weak and his heart pound. These two fine characters play against each other marvelously and the sexual sparks between these two definitely keeps you rooting for them to hook up especially as they fight their feelings for each other. Nathanial is a hero who appreciates Gaby’s accomplishments and isn’t intimidated by her at all. What is more he respects that she is a strong woman in her own right which to this reader is a breath of fresh air. I loved the play by play and the secondary characters give depth to the storyline that has me salivating for more in this series.

I really enjoyed this kick-off to the trilogy and found the characters meshed rather well with each other. Full of twists and turns, Ms. Alexander delivers one wild ride and keeps the reader entertained. I am really looking forward to the next adventure that settles around the other Harrington boys and if you enjoy a good historical romance that keeps you glued to the pages wondering what comes next then grab THE VIRGIN’S SECRET and get ready for an escapade of a lifetime.
