LIONS BOWER maybe short, but quite a lot is revealed between the beginning and the end. The sexual content make it not a tale for children, even though it does have a simple message. It’s almost a fairy tale with its simple language and images, but the characters are interesting and certainly not innocents.
The plot works well, but could have done with a bit more tension and intrigue. Some of the dialogue seems a little clichéd at times, but this often happens in shorter tales. This reviewer liked the hero and the way he was introduced and his reactions toward the very nervous heroine. The ending and the story itself was very easy to understand, as it didn’t leave the reader wondering what they were doing or saying. The ending was good but could have been done with a trifle more panache.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author, but it has intrigued me enough, that I would read another one.
