Carver Eliot is a man who lives on the edge of his career. As a police Lieutenant he has gotten into more trouble than situations warrant and it has finally caught up with him. Demoted and sent to the most backwater precinct in the Pittsburgh police department, he just wants the dust to settle so he can get back to the Major Crimes unit. But he didn’t count on Lieutenant David Logan.

Lieutenant David Logan plays by the rules and expects others to as well. He quickly realizes that he will have to use unorthodox methods to break through Carver’s attitude and get him to follow the rules. What he doesn’t count on is his attraction to Carver or how much he will enjoy taming the man.

SINS OF ARROGANCE is a book about two men finding their way to each other and about how sometimes we don’t know what we need. This was a very well written book and it drew me into the story quickly. I enjoyed the byplay of the characters with each other as well as with the secondary characters. I enjoyed it so much that it came as a shock when it ended. It was an ending with things not really resolved. I was very disappointed with the ending for that reason. I can only hope that they are going to make a series out of the book or at least a sequel that will clear up a few of the hanging threads. I really liked SINS OF ARROGANCE and it was only because of the ending that I give it a rating of 3.5.
